Maybe not, but when you tell the judge you wre just out tooling around when you pulled up to a stop light. Then this little two-door coupe took off squealing tires and all...

Mitch Green wants $450 and he gives back all but $50 if he doesnt get me off. See hes a really good lawyer but I dont know if I should go with him cuz hes more expensive than everyone else.

can't get any 500 tickets defered. they have to be minor traffic offences. neg, no ins and driving on suspended are not elligible for deferment.

I disagree, thats why im getting a lawyer. Actually already talked to one and will be sending him a copy of my ticket and a check tomorrow. Steven Shuman is his name, recommended to me by a lot of my friends. I talked to him and yes he said if he was to tell me that he could get me off this ticket he would be full of ****. He first has to see the police report and all that kind of stuff. I have a friend has gotten off 2 tickets with him, my friends neighbor has gotten off 5 tickets using this guy. Then some other friends that have always been able to get off every single ticket they have ever gotten some with this guy some with Mitch Green. Anyways Steve told me hes been able to get people off 99% of the tickets, mostly for technicality issues. Im going to let him take this one.

I got a speeding ticket last year and was able to get it deferred. I was able to get it deferred becaus I have had no moving violations in the previous three years. It cost me $100 for the privlige to have the original ticket deferred. The stipulations were no moving violations for one year. If there were moving violations, I would loose the 100, pay the original ticket ,and could not contest and had to pay the new ticket. The good news is no moving violations for a year and the original ticket has dissapeared. It is not on my record and my insurance company will not find out about it.

At trafic court I thought I saw every way to get out of a ticket that there is. The paper work has to be filed in time by the cop. I think it is 48 hrs. If properly requested to appear the cop must be there. One guy had writen proof the speedo was off from a speedo shop with recipt. Another challenged the radar equipment testing date and got out of ticket. I think it needs to be done every year.

For me the bottom line if I get another ticket is, how much will it cost for the ticket and the insurance for the next three years. Do I or will I need a clean driving record for my job? Do I think I can get out of the ticket myself? Is it worth paying a lawyer, who may know more ways and has an a money back offer? For me yes if i can't do it myself.

His lawyer most likely found a tiny mistake the court made in either filing something, charging something, or reporting something and it got dropped. Most of the time that's what those lawyers do, they find tiny loop holes and technicalities to get the tickets dropped.

And I'm pretty sure in the state of WA a cop does not have to be present at the hearing.

I dunno.. I didnt even have to show up. I just got a letter in the mail yesterday from my lawyer saying "it's nice when justice revails!!" and the court order where it says it was dismissed. Works for me.

I'm not too surprised, Jackson got off from every charge against him (a good pun as well). No one here will really know if you were honestly just tuning the car and decided not to try and race the guy or if he shot off and you figured you'd try and teach him a thing or two (and no this isn't an accusation though you will treat it as one). I agree with dDub that it must have been some technicality.

Well yea of course its technicality. I talked to the lawyer when I first got the ticket and he said he gets 99% of his clients off tickets and they're almost all technicalities. Thats why he couldnt tell me if he could or couldnt get me off it cuz he said he hasnt seen the police report.

Last thanksgiving I was written for speeding the patrolman said he paced me going 70+ and an unsafe lane change. Fine was 192 bucks. I went to court explained the situation and said that if the police officer was going to get me for speeding he needs to know exactly how fast I was going, a pace doesn't count, the judge agreed. And since the cop wasn't there to rebuttle against that and my lane change judge dropped it. Literally took 2 mins.

Ehh I wouldnt do that myself though. I've gone to court before and the judge wouldnt even listen to my story. Every time I tried to explain myself she would say "are you arguing me"

Yeah, there are judges like that....just like people on the road. Some like speed, some like to cruise 55 on left lane. Some deserve to die, some deserve not to drive
