I will give Guanco a call tonight. If it is in April I will not be able to make it. I was really hoping to have my car re-tuned by ABF but if not I am not too worried. I would rather see you all get an earlier date.

5 people is enough for Steve to come. So either way we will be set. I just want to make sure that we have ALL 5 people locked in before I have Steve book a ticket.

As for the deposits, I like to get them to Steve a month in advance. This means that we would need to mail them by Next Friday. Would you folks rather mail them yourself, or have me mail them?

I can't do April 6th weekend since I already scheduled for St. Louis months ago. April 18th is starting to look bad too since the guys in Greece are ready to send their deposit for me to go there for a week. I can do Mar 28th. This is the earliest I can schedule you guys in.
Below are my schedule:

Phoneix March 18th
TX2Y8 March 20th
St. Louis April 4th
local dyno day April 11th
Greece April 18th
Cayman Island April 25th

I'm open in May and June so far.

hmmm, sounds like April is out then. Thanks for the reply Steve. How do you all feel about March? I honestly will probably wait until May or June, I am doing way too much stuff with my company right now to even think about getting the car ready by then.

And I agree, running is the key word

If anyone is up for June, I don't mind waiting if the May one never happens.

Once my car is ready, I'm pretty much game for any weekend as I am ususally never booked more than 3 weeks out at the shop, and rarely work weekends so I have plenty of time to set a day or two aside to make the drive and tune day. I'm only an 8 hour drive to portland, so I'm not that far out either. Even if it's a week day, if I know atleast 2-3 weeks in advance, I will undoubtedly be there.

Basically, once my car is ready, I'll just go with the flow...just gotta get it done.

Buying an E6K, TO4s and a fuel-setup tomorrow... Getting ready for May, so hopefully we can continue to bang this one out!

How do people feel about March? I don't know if I will be able to secure the dyno on such short notice.

Oooh, I like that idea. March for people that are ready now, and then june for people that aren't.

If people could post up their plans or ETA of being ready to be tuned I REALLY think that would help us. Also if we all posted the days we will not be available, we might be able to find a time that works for everyone.

Just an idea. I will start.

My project should be done after mid MAY. I will be gone (toronto canada) May 27 till June 3rd. Any other time, I am open to, (especially after June 3rd).

I am about to buy my plane tickets tomorrow unless for some reason someone thinks that we will HAVE to dyno May 31 or June first.

Thanks

~Tweak

My project should be done may or june. I'm most definitely interested in steve tuning my car. But march is impossible. I can speak for me and one other. But it would have to be may or june. So i have 2 votes. Both fd's.

My car is garaged and will be under the knife sometime this month. Going over all engine systems and sensors. I am still not sure if I will go w/ Rtek 2.1, or Power FC at this point in time. In either case, keep me in the June section for now.

Ok, well Cosmo was the last chance for March. I guess that march is a no go. I will have to break the news to Guanco...

I honestly think that we have too many people for one session. I am not sure if Steve can tune all the cars in a weekend. Maybe he will comment again,

And yes, at this point I am CONFIRMED for June--so I am glad to be "held accountable".

Picked up the turbo, ECU and fuel-setup today, so it would take a massive curse to *not* be able to make a June deadline. Stoked!

Erik & Clayton, you need to post pictures if you are going to say things like that.

Clayton. I do not know too much about the Rtek but I have to admit that I really love the PFC. If you want to play around with the PFC you are more than welcome to come up to my place and see what it is all about.

I got a question about the PFC, if you don't mind. I have a haltech e11v2, an I was wondering if the pfc has 2 step, boost control (closed loop), and the ability to have multiple maps? Also what are the direct advantages of the pfc, and is it easy to install on an s5/s4 engine?

Thank you.

1. I heard that you can get an interface for the PFC to do 2 step. But I have also heard that it does not work on rotaries.

2. It does have a boost controller, but IMO it is wise to get a standalone unit.

3. It does have the ability to hold multiple maps

4. Banzai racing sells a kit to drop it into a second gen.

The best thing about the PFC is the simplicity. It is SO easy to get carried away and buy something that has more gadgets than you need. For 95% of RX7's the PFC is perfect.
