I will wait until thursday to give a final decision. If this doesn't happen, I'll shred the deposit checks (deposit only apply when I book my flight) or I can hold on for the July tuning session.

For those in the May session, what do you think about using Jet City tuning for the dyno. They are located in Puyallup. Since they helped us out so much at ABF it might be nice to show a little support.

They run a dyno dynamics.

I'm tentatively backing out of the May tuning session. I'm selling an RX-7 that *should* be sold already... Without it gone, I don't have the cash to put my (big) turbo RX-7 together. Sucks and unplanned. Sorry May guys. Thursday now is my deadline to sell the car and make the dyno-day deposit. If it doesn't sell in two days, then no May dyno for me. Sorry to Steve as well.

 

how many miles should i have on a car after a rebuild befor i go to tune it? because i just got mine running agian and would like to sign up for this but i dont know if i can get a safe number of miles on the car in time for the may 31 group. plus wher would the tuning take place? because i will hopefully be instaling an apexi PFC befor then but i dont know if i'll find a good enough map using the FD PFC on my FC to drive it to the session.

Driftkid, I would say that 1000 easy miles should do the trick. I did it with around 700 last time. Stay out of boost and be easy on the motor. I will ask Woundup7 what he did. I believe that he ran a base map PFC w/ T2 motor. Just be easy on the motor and you should be fine.

I am booking the dyno tonight. So speak now or forever hold your peace. I have yet to recieve any feedback.

wow, this is not cool. I am really starting to get nervous. People better get their sh*it figured out for Julyl 26th, that's all I'm saying. I understand random car problems, but it really shouldn't be THIS hard to get everything inline.

P.S. z-beater, I have one of granico's cars, so I only think he needs his name up once on the list. (unless he had 3 7s he was going to get turned??) haha

Yes, if people can't get their stuff figured out Steve has all right to cancel the tune session. Steve, do what you need to do. You have all rights to cancel IMO.

Deposits will be due one month in advance. This gives Steve time to book his flight and clear his schedule. You are more than welcome to send it before 1 month. I believe that Cosmo sent his in a couple months in advance.

Tweak, Guanco had 3 cars. 1 was sold to you! He only has 2 now.

Oh, ok. What a lucky guy! I REALLY hope you guys get to do your dyno, but I agree, if people arn't sending in their deposits, I don't think Steve should be taking any sort of hit for that. Figure it out people, at least let the group know if you don't have the money or are not able to do the tune for what ever reason so people can plan or make adjustments. On a side note, I think everyone in the July 26th tune need to send their phone numbers and emails to z-beater so we can keep get ahold of people if we need to.

I contacted guanco a few times yesterday, did he contact anybody about what he is doing? He said he was going to.

 

I went ahead and booked my flight for the May 31st tuning session. I will be flying in to Seattle, WA on May 30th and leaving June 2nd.

I would not count on guanco for the tune, he seems really busy, and I think it's up to his friend if he wants to tune the car or not.

I think that maybe if we advertise on rx8 club or elsewhere maybe you can find a replacement?

Steve you are the man! I am sorry that it's so hard for us to get everything organized. This will not happen for our July tune, I can guarantee it.

 

Well, my FD is almost ready so you can add me as a possible replacement. However, before I commit I need to talk to Steve about the tune.
