Boeing Drift club

hi guys,
new to the site, i just got out of the air force, and was stationed in England for five years... had a turbo 2 convertable over there... just moved to everett about 4 months ago and work at boeing.... i just picked up another turbo 2 over here and i'm working on getting it set up for mainly drifting........ i was just wondering if anyone else here works at boeing........... mainly i was wondering if anyone has thought about or has tried to start a drift club there and just use the parking lots for practice days.......... i know there is a boeing autocross club already, so i dont see why a drift club isnt possible.. i'm going to start to look into this but i was wondering if anyone else would be interested...... thanks a lot......

boeing has the autox days more for defensive driving, or getting a better feel for the car, i dont think boeing likes drift much.

i work at boeing, and i have thought about trying to get a drifting club started but, i dont know if boeing would want black marks in their parking lots.. ? but it would always be worth a shot at trying. what at boeing do you do? ( i am on the 777 FWD body structures. )

i guess its a lost cause now..... unless anyone knows any locations that would be good for practice meets..... here s the reply i got.....

Joseph,

Before you decide to continue with the request, recent changes at the
Everett site way sway your decision to do so.

Effective this week, the Everett Leadership team has denied future
access to the Everett parking lots during off hour times due to high
risk factors they assessed to the type of activity both clubs you
referenced conduct.

It is my opinion that the club you are proposing would have the exact
same fate that both clubs have experienced.

With that said, I can still provide you the information you would need
to propose the creation of a drifting club, however understand there is
a near certain probability you will be having to perform activities
somewhere other than the Everett site.

Let me know how you wish to proceed.

Thank you,

Like Jerk_Racer said, get involved with other local groups. There are other drift clubs around that practice in Bremerton and what not. I recommend joining an existing racing club and volunteering to see what is actually involved with these events. Renting property and insurance is expensive.
