BDC Tune : Oct 4th + 5th $350 Yakima + Seattle
Hello all again.
The title of the last thread said the wrong dates so I wanted to make sure people didn't get confused.
Summary: BDC is going to be in Yakima (4th) for street tuning, and then Seattle (5th) for dyno and street tuning. He has a $350 flat rate charge (no matter on boost psi or anything).
BDC is coming up to our great green (well half green) state to make a few lucky slow rx7's faster. He will be arriving in Seattle, friday (oct 3rd) in the afternoon where I will be picking him up to take him to Yakima. There is a good chance that we will get a majority of my tuning done (weather permitting) done on the drive to Yakima.
The next day (Fri. the 4th) we will be finishing any tuning we did not get done Thur. night, and beginning onto the next person to be tuned. I have a few local people that are interested. (As things sometimes don't go as planned the rest of the day will be set aside for problems.)
If no problems happen and everyone in Yakima is tuned, we will most likely be heading back up to Seattle Friday night. If not, we will be heading to Seattle the next morning.
Right now TooMuch4You (portland) is the only other for sure on the list. I do not know as of yet if he is going to come to Yakima on Sat. or just go the the dyno in Sunday in Seattle.
The dyno's actual location in Seattle will be decided by this Monday. If you want to join the tuning session and have a dyno you would prefer, please PM me and tell me you are interested. There are a lot of affordable, quality dyno facilities in the area. The dyno place that we choose will have tailpipe wideband if needed (for people that do not have a wideband currently installed.)
PM me if you have any questions or comments. I will post any more information that I get as it comes.
Thanks

Ok, I called Jet City tuning because he seemed to have everything well under control the last tuning session I had in Seattle. I told him I am estimating ~3 cars Sunday and he said $140 per car. He says that most cars use 1-2 hours so I think that that's a pretty good deal (especially if the weather is bad and street tuning is impossible). Let me know what you guys think, as I want to get back to him asap.
Thanks

Awesome. I love having extra plans haha. That price is a lot better than the one we started out with in yakima! I just hope we can get another person to join the tuning session. Anybody? The more the better, we SHOULD have tons of free time.

Also, I was thinking, if anybody else wants to be dynoed at jet city tuning on Sunday, come on down! Most likely will be able to get a discounted price if we have a bigger group.

Little update on things, sorry for not being on here more, a lot of things have been going on.
Rob aka mort2002 got tuned all last night by bdc, and got things running a lot smoother. I didn't have much time to talk to rob as I was working on my car, but it is running a lot smoother pre-boost and pretty much every where. He even got rid of most the hickup that steve couldn't. The maps rob got at his previous tune seemed to be pretty random at best, not sure what is up with that but I have my own opinions..... .... In the previous tuners defense, he didn't spend enough time with the car to really figure out everything, and the microtechs are VERY confusing ...
Second, toomuchforyou's car didn't get done in time. I guess the place that was putting his exhaust on, had a power outage in portland and decided to take the day off? O.o I guess there isnt much he could do about that....
3rd, I am about to get my stuff all tuned here in yakima for a quick bit before we decided if it is worth heading to the dyno or not. I am a retard, and somewhere down the line caused my front thrust washer to fall off the eshaft.... I will have to fix it next weekend, but as of right now I have a little front pully/hub wobble at idle. I have gone over 2,400 miles with it like that. Basically after building the engine correct, and installing it, I played with the front pulleys some and after taking it off I forgot to put the clutch in, allowing the front counter weight to move forwards just enough for the thursh washer to fall off. I'm an idiot, but technically nothing should be "broken" with the core, and I feel safe boosting on it till next week where I will pull the front cover off and replace all the crushed bearings.
So as of right now, I don't know when or if we will be heading to the dyno, unless someone else wants to have their car tuned on the dyno PLEASE ME me ASAP, we will head up there for sure then. I might hit the dyno monday morning if that is an option but I donno. We have / had an appointment to be there at 1, but I am not sure he will be very excited to see only one car pull up. :/
So anyways, that's the current situation. I hope everything tunes out ok, I am a little nervous now about the thrust bearings in my re. eek.

Yeup yeup! I will go into more detail later today, super busy right now. I got everything tuned, and running well. I am having some issues controlling boost with the haltech.. seems to be a bug making it control it randomly. :/ I will most likely need to get one of those profec C things. Anyways more news later.
And yes, +1 BDC FTW. I will not let any other tuner get within 20 ft of my car. He IS the man flat out. If anybody wants any more information or details on that, PLEASE PM me, I am happy to share/explain.
