AB wolf3d v3.0 tuning

ive never installed a engine management system before, so question is does the standalone only monitor the engine, and if so how do you seperate the other functions of the old ecm like the dash and lighting system pretty much chassi electronics. do i have to keep the old ecm to run these functions and where would i get it tuned or start

go to wolf 3d tuning , download the manual for the v3.0 and follow them for install much simpler than you think.

But if electronics scare you and after reading it still doesnt make sense, pay someone to do the install and tune, or else you will just blow the motor one way or another ( if not from tuning from bad cas signals ).

the 3.0 is old but awesome.

All of the chassis electronics are separate from the engine electronics in the 2nd gen. Pull out the stock emissions harness and replace it with the Wolf harness. You will need to separate the wiper wiring, alternator wires and coolant temp sensor wires from the stock harness and reinstall them on the car. Those are the only stock wires you will have to mess with.

thanks guys so i can just pull the stock ecu out with its engine harness, ill run the coolant sensor and gauges from an aftermaket source for reliabilty anyway and rewire the altenator but how to i maintain the wiper system to keep my controls, i do have the manual and have ben reading i even got a wiring diagram from some guy on the net with a car named sharky, well illustrated and simple, on the main plugs to the s4 ecu wich ones arent engine controls or is it only a few hidden wires in it like the ones you mentioned

FSM Pages 4A-29 to 4A-32 will tell you exactly what each wire is for at the ECU. The largest plug (pins 1A - 1X) has all of the connections from the front harness and engine harness (don't confuse w/ EM harness). The Engine management harness uses the other two plugs.
