Windows (electric) raise and lower very slow

Windows (electric) raise and lower very slow
1984 RX7 GSE electric switch seems fine but windows raise and lower very slow. I tried lubricating the channels to no avail. Will the motors burn out under these conditions? Is there a way to lessen resistance of movement of the glass?
