CT strong gas smell??

ever since i got the car ive noticed that the fumes from my exhaust is very strong,my tennat told me once if i could please turn off the car,on a nice sunny day i had it running for about 20 mins, and she told me her apartment smelled of gas
and just recently i took my wife out for a spin and immediately she told me of the smell..if i stand directly behind the car i can smell it strong,if your there long enough itll irritate your eyes...all i have is a racing beat exhaust header, and 1 cat,(the main) could the problem be that i removed the other two pre cats?

removing the 2 pre cats has nothing to do with it expect your exhaust flowing alot fre-er than before.
check your
-tps ,
-timing,
-spark plugs,
-o2 sensor.
what type of fuel are you running? 87 oct or 85?

i do know that that the header does free up alot of exhaust gas flow... from actually standing behind a fc with a rb header, striaght pipe and a cork sport catback, it made me cry... lol

MA idea

At the risk of sounding snide, don't idle it! You shouldn't play around with a gas leak though. A visual check may show you something.
