S5 to S4 swap questions

Hey everyone not really new but wanted to update. My 1990 rx got for 200 bucks had motor built 3 rd stage street port not long after chassis electrical problem got me down. Then went an boughta 88 swapped the suspension and just about got the motor in a lot of swapping around and fabrication to get my motor to fit and hook up for an inexperienced rotor mechanic had to use a series 4 front cover on series 5 motor had to make series five water pump housing to fit series 4 front cover. Anyone have any tips or ideas that could help make this go smoother would love to hear them

If you are using the s4 engine in the S5 you need the s5 front cover anyways.
the S4 engine has a mechanical omp and the S5 NEEDS the electrical OMP or your car will just run in Limp Mode.
Maybe I am reading it backwards too..the thread is sort of confusing.
If so,you could have used the S5 Front and blocked off the OMP and premixed.

Hey sorry so confusing I put the s5 motor in the s4 car had to use s4 front cover I had the s5 built but then the electronics fried in the car I as told s4 was way better electrical so I put my motor in that car. Had running over weekend but I have a exaust leak at the header and I think it's causing me to lose back pressure can't seem to get the idling right. It's taken me all most two months to get this far working on it by my self and having to work 50+ hrs a week. Still gonna have to swap front covers again when I go turbo but for now just trying to get it right so I can get back an forth to work
