MN S4 actuators and VDI question.

I recently got a engine for an 86 shell that I have had for a few years. Got the engine in and it runs fine, however I do not have exhaust yet and will not be running a stock system. I have removed the ACV and want to use the stock air pump to run the actuators, I have seen how many of you are running them my question is where/what is the VDI?

VDI is an S5 NA feature. An S4 NA engine only has the 6PI system, which is the 2 actuators on the lower intake manifold.

This is how I controlled my 6PI system with w/ an RPM switch (and later the VDI when I converted to S5 manifolds): https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/activating-aux-ports-vdi-rpm-switches-907824/
