Oil temperature

Quick question: im too tight to buy an oem sump gasket and have found a diy gasket kit which can take up to 120°c, does fd oil temp exceed this?

120 C = 248 F. Oil temps that high would signal the beginning of engine damage. FDs run hotter than earlier 7s, but I believe the radiator fans run at full speed by ~220F. Oil temps will be very close to coolant temps.

Most FD owners DO NOT use the OEM pre-formed gasket. Not sure if they're all available in the UK but popular brands of gasket maker are THE RIGHT STUFF and HONDA BOND. Search in the third Gen. section for more info....but you don't want to go cheap here.

Great info,i ve found my car always run 110c oil temp.is it normal?
