My Holley carb set up came the other day.My boy installed today and it wont idle smooth. It surges"up down,up down".What could it be?The sooner we get this fixed the sooner he will ship me my car.Any ideas?

Remember that we're in the New Member tech section still, which covers all generations of RX-7's...what's the engine, what's the car?

Do we have any Holley carb guys out there lurking in the New Member boards who can help?

I had a 68 mustang with three carbs.... i had the same problem... when i tore them apart i found dirt lodged inbetween the drop pins and dirt everywhere else. after cleaning all the dirt out i never had a problem again. If your relatively good with carbs i would recommend taking it apart and buy the rebuild kit which is not that expensive. Clean everything inside the carb with carb cleaner or brake cleaner and you should be good. That what i did with all three of my carbs.
