hey guys,
prob an easy one to answer/dumb question. If you have deleted omp and are just pre mixing that means you wont be doing conventional oil changes correct? Is there still an oil filter that needs to be replaced at regular intervals? thanks for taking the time.

there is much much much debate on this topic but if you delete the omp and premix, you can run synthetic..... you can also run conventional. either is fine. omp or no omp, your oil change interval doesnt change and yes you replace the oil filter when doing an oil change

ok thanks think i was confusing myself, thought if you deleted omp and just did premix than that's all you needed to do.

Hi Matt. The OMP squirts a tiny bit of engine oil into the combustion chamber, but most of the oil in the engine is there for lubrication and cooling. You still need that oil in the engine, just like any piston engine. If you delete the omp you still need to change your engine oil and filter every 3000 miles. Just like any non-rotary engine.

Once the OMP is deleted you can run synthetic as others said, but another big benefit is that you can run thicker oil, i think its since its not having to be injected. From what I’ve read most guys run anywhere from 10w40 to 20w50. Idk if youve read much about premixing but with my omp delete im running about 1oz/gal and it seems to be working for me

the amount of premix varies depending on the apex seals brand; I've seen 1 to 3 oz per gal recommendations for pump with omp deleted. E85 I know nothing...
