I have one for sale. I have everything associated with the MOP except for the lines. They were too brittle to save. PM me if you're interested.

If you are just removing and replacing it.,then try a "manual site" like Foxed.ca
If you think that you can "delete the omp and run Premix".NO..it won't work. Not on an S5.(unless you get an RTEK Ecu. digital tuning, inc.)
The s5's OMP is electrically connected to the ECU and if disconnected will throw the car into LIMP mode.If it is bad it will do the same thing, and it may damage the ecu in the process too..Nice to Upgrade from an S4 huh?

How would the absence of the omp damage the ecu circuitry?

^ jakea, no need to worry. You have the mechanical MOP on your S4. What styx is referring to has to do with the S5 electrical MOP that is controlled by the ECU... Whereas the S4 MOP is controlled by your foot. (Hit the throttle pedal and it lifts the MOP rod to inject oil into each rotor housing.)

With the S4 MOP's, we have the option of removing it and premixing oil into our gasoline to be injected into the rotor housings via fuel injectors. Don't get me wrong... It is possible with the S5. You just have to find ways around it.

This is my take on it.I am not 100% that this is the REAL Fact, but Logically it seems feasable..(Captain..phazers on Stun!)
If the car relies on oil to lubricate the engine and all of a sudden that Electrical part decides to Malfunction,The driver won't know it..BUT the Ecu will see it and put the Car into Limp Mode so the driver can't Kill the engine as it now becomes undrivable..It is like a safety feature.
Now, the ECU can only put out signal for so long to a short circuit before Damaging itself...Things will Cook, and that is hwy the ECU gets damaged.
The OMP is a short,Ecu Feeds a short,..then gets damaged..
Boom!, OMP and ECU are both fried.Car is Inoperative,or drives like poop.
