you may want to reconsider. if you cant fend for yourself on this very easy part then theres a good chance youre going to fall apart during the swap and forfeit this whole process.
Thanks for the link. To be more specific, I put a turbo RX7 engine in my Beetle. I need to know what wires I need to use from the RX7 harness with computer, for it to start? And which wires are not necessary. Does there exist a diagram specifically for this swap?

for the sake of clarity, i am assuming 1992 is the REW, and not a 13B-T. is this the case?
well, either way, i don't think it's as simple as thinning the harness and supplying power and signal to some wires - based on the diagram. as i understand it, the ECU integrates with other computers on the car itself, and so without the other harnesses, the engine will not run.
that said, you might try checking the Gen 1 forum for guys that have put REWs in their cars using the FD's ECU. i'm sure someone has had to have done it.

Also, it would help to know if this is a North American setup or Japanese one you are transplanting into your Beetle. Contrary to some beliefs, there are quite a few differences. Easy way to identify it is by the ECU. N3A1 or N3A2 is North American, N3A7 or N3A8 is Japanese. I have both sets of diagrams, and where I would begin is the ECU Terminal Chart.
