Need Electrical help.(blower motor).
I just bought an 87 rx7. I'm not sure what fans of rx7s call them. Its N/A, 5 speed. I just put a motor in it. I've been tracing an electrical problem. The blower motor does not run. The blower motor is in working condition, I tested it. The control head works, mode control works. The speed control also works. Yes, it’s a long story, well not really. If you unplug connector G07, 8 pin, and plug it back in the relays click, control head lights up, and the fan sometimes runs (un-plugging it and plugging it back in until it runs) it doesn't matter what speed its set at, or temp. What is my problem here? Bad relay? Bad connection? Bad Car?
I'm hoping it’s not the blower motor relay, that relay is 95 fricken dollars! Half of what I paid for the motor!!!

I experienced a similar problem on a Saturn. Everything was checking out fine. I ended up replacing the blower motor ($35) and the problem was fixed. I hate intermittent electrical problems, lol. Good luck! Let us know what you find out.
I've had similar problems before most recently on a buick wagon, turned out to be the connection in the blower motor. the plug was against the plastic cover and got beat up over the years it broke the wires inside the motor. I ended up swapping the blower motor out and problem solved. takes forever to chase it down. I had to jiggle and bend every bit of the wiring harness remotely connected to the blower before I traced it back to plug going into the blowermotor. Look for sections of the harness where it could rub or where it would have been moved to put in a radio, and signs of mice, they frequently come in through the blower motor and chew everything. From my experiences if it works sporadically it's probably a loose connection or bad ground and not a relay. Relays usually just stop working all together, and variable speed resistors usually drop one or 2 speeds until they quit altogether. Good luck hope you figure it out.
I took the blower motor out, cut the wires and hooked it up directly to the battery. It works well. I even took it in the garage and hooked it to a 9 volt battery and it worked fine. Its not really an intermittent electrical problem, but more of its an electrical problem.
In reality, the blower does not blow. Period. I can unplug main connector G07, its the 8 plug wire behind the glove box, un-plug it, and plug it back in about half way-ish. I hear 3 relays click, and then the blower motor runs, and then another relay click and the blower shuts off. It might run for 5 seconds max. If I un-plug the connector again, I may or may not get the relays to click/blower to run. Its sporadic. I have ordered a blower motor relay, as its the last one to click before the blower shuts off.
If I leave the connector plugged in the blower does not function. The logicon does function, cold/hot, mode select. The doors actuate. The fuses are all good as well as the circuit breaker. I have also noticed another problem occurring lately. The tachometer does not function all the time nor does the oil pressure gauge work. Both will sporadically bottom out and go to 0, but not at the same time. The dash clock also does not work. Or it might, but It doesn't light up.

I had a similar problem: motor won't run but if you put the switch at max and plug/unplug the motor if turns on. Wouldn't work for any other speeds.
Turns out it was transistor/thermal fuse that's soldered onto a little block in the blower motor case.

So I pulled the blower housing out. I figured after reading what HAILERS said is that my transistor is bad? or resistor? However, I do not know what they are. Would it be the block in the blower motor housing? I attached a picture, is that it?
