Try to be more specific please.

Cranking means Turning over..
Is the engine rolling over but not firing?
How long has the car been sitting?..What is "a good while"?..week,2 months,5 years?

I'v heard that terminology lots of times on the forum , maybe he means the starter turns over but it doesn't crank the engine . careful paper ninja , mister is not in a very good mood he just beat the hell out of two big guys down the alley.

hah you kinda did the same thing again ,

can you re clarify . the starter turns ok we got that much , But the engine is not turning over? if so you might have a bad starter or a weak starter , the gear that turns the motor sometimes breaks and the starter jsut spins without touching the flywheel. and this starter spins , but motor does not crank

this will also Sometimes happen if the battery is weak . the starter is not pushing the gear out far enough to engage with the flywheel and it just sorta spins in air .

Once again, i am very sorry, i am new to car forums, Okay, when i sit inside the car, clutch all the way depressed, and i turn the key, as to crank the car, all the electronics in the car come on, the lights on the outside come on, the engine turns over, but it never fires, it will just sit and spin for as long as you hold the key turned.

It doesn't start.
You need fuel, compression and timed spark for it to start. I would first make certain it's getting fuel. FRESH fuel. If it is, then check for good spark. Lastly...since it's been sitting so long I could see a stuck hard seal. So a compression check might be in order. Should be some sticky'd info in the 2nd gen. section on how to do that.

And misterstyx (mod) dealt with something that needed dealing with. No need to scare new guys.

After something has been sitting that long I would definitely drain the fuel and put some fresh stuff in. When I bought mine I did an oil change, plugs, wires and flushed the coolant system just so I knew for the most part everything was fresh lol.

After you put some fuel in give it a go, if its still not check for spark.

Try this link and see if it will shed some light on your problem.

I wouldn't even try to start it without getting rid of 4 year old gas.
Drain plug is on the bottom of the passenger side of the gas tank on an FC.

Thank all of you so much, you've been a world of help, I got new coolant, new oil/filter, I have new plugs coming in on Monday, and I will drain the tank then and add brand new 93 octane gas, with seafoam to clean the lines, and I also have a brand new fuel filter coming in Monday as well.
