my rx7 turbo II wont go in reverse

I ran it down the track 1 time I came back and my car would not go in reverse i try to pull it in as hard as i can and it will not go in i need help please thank you let me know what you think so i could fix it asap thanks

Sounds like it could be kinda stuck in a gear, try and go thru all the gears in order make sure to go all the way into gear and back out. Then try reverse agian

tryed and still nothing and all the outher gears a fine they go in and out like new it is just reverse i can try to pull it in reverse but it wont go for nothing i have no idea wat it is im lost lol

check the tail stock of the transmission.at the shifter.
It may be far fetched But I am gonna guess that you may have damaged the shifter there.they are Known to crack the housing,.Seeing you Drag raced the car,it could be possible.

so the tail stock is what is that the end of the tranny should i take the shifter off and look inside or look on the out side of the tranny it self

Take off the shifter boot, remove the 3 screws and pull out the shifter. )Oversimplified, look at the FSM.)

Mine would not go into 5th or reverse when I got it. It turned out that the plastic bushing inside the shifter had disintegrated and pieces were wedged in a position that the shifter would not go into reverse.

Having the same problem Thanks for that answer I will check that out sence I just replaced to disintegrated bushings myself.
