It has nothing to do with how much boost. It has everything to do with airflow. For example, 14 PSI on the stock turbo is too much (for the turbo) but 14 PSI on a T4B is just starting to wake it up.

How much power do you want to make?

In case you are thinking, no, you cannot run an upgraded turbo on the factory ECU.

well in my car club there is a 350z i wanna at least hang with and a 94 integra i need to beat and a civic with a type r integra swap. i have a N/A s4 gxl now. and with the way the other cars are built i can stick on the integras bumper but i have to push it hard. i wanna tune my car for drift but keep it on the street so im not gonnaa change camber to much ill just get the adjustables and change them at the track. i already have suspension upgrade. like right now if i have my falken tires i can grip all day but put slicker tires on i slip all day. so to answer your question i want about 250 to 280 horse.

Not to thread Jack but I've been wondering the same thing. In terms of aftermarket turbo gt30 or so and piggy back or full stand alone. How much psi before damage is done. And very good airflow. Only a few feet of exhaust behind the turbo and def not stock intake

You can't get 250whp on the stock turbo.

There are many variations of the gt30. Need to know the other details to be able to give an accurate answer.

You would be looking at around 350+ hp with supporting mods.

You're going to need to have another turbo and the seals you have will do fine. A 350z is heavier but it also has a lot more power. Get a gt35r and call it a day.

Sure you can.

Way too small.

If you want to run the 3076, then you should only look at the 1.06 T3 hot side.

Again, boost level is irrelevant. With the 3076, on a 13B, you start pumping heat around 15-16 PSI. So that could be considered your "max boost". However, change the turbo and that number changes.

Seals are fine.

What is the element I'm forgetting, aaron?

I thought the stock turbo runs out of gas after about 12psi? I guess you mean with porting?

Go bigger....like a T70. If you have the supporting money (which I hope you do considering you plan on going upgraded boost), I'd just go big or go home.

You can get 250RWHP without hybrid turbos. An efficient stock turbo setup will do it. A better intercooler, 12-13 PSI of boost, and a good tune.

I agree, a good tune (w/ a good ECU) is a requirement before higher boost. There are other important aspects before adding more PSI. First make sure you control boost very well (no spikes, no creep, etc.), control fuel delivery very well, control air and engine temps (never lean out or detonate) - then the rotary can handle more boost for many years. More rotaries/seals blow because they lean out or detonate than from pure PSI. Plan, build, tune, and Hold On!

Why are you so high on bnr? You know they have had problems too, right?
