Found an FB for sale that hasn't run in 10 years - what to expect/look for?
Hi everyone!
I found a clean looking FB locally. It's listed as a 1985, 150hp RX-7 with a slipping clutch and which the seller says hasn't been started in 10 years.
The interior and bodywork looks fine on pictures. I've asked the seller for pictures of the engine bay, undercarriage and wheel wells, but haven't heard back from them. I'll include them here once/if I get them.
I thought I'd seek out the guru's here to learn what I should look out for, and if there would be any hope to get it running on it's current engine. As far as I know, no engine came from the factory with "150hp", so I'm not sure what's in there.
What common issues could be visually inspected, and what are common rust spots to look out for?

Common rust is in the wheel wells where the trailing arms attach. It starts on the inside. Need to take the storage bins behind the front seats out. That's pretty easy, just a few screws.
Expect to replace brake and clutch master alone with clutch slave. All new gas soft lines. Probably new t-stat and water pump and a flush. Brakes all around. And all fluids. Do a compression test if you can. Most of this is pretty common for any vehicle that has sat. If engine isn't running, base price on that fact.
