Fitting the 99 Spec Bumper to 93

Sorry guys, tried to search but nearly the whole forum came on results. Nothing straight forward on FAQ topic.

How is the fitment of a 99 Spec bumper into a 93 model with two oil radiators, should it be straight/nearly forward on counting with some possible chassis torsion?
Is there any difference between LHD and RHD?

Looking to buy the below.

I did mine, with all OEM parts, and its bolt on.
There is no difference in the 93 and 99 chassi.
If you are going to fit the skin only, there is a lot of cutting of the fiberglass bumperframe.

(Searched in title only using term “bumper” in 3rd Gen. tech section):
In addition to maintaining safety, to make it look decent and to function properly you need the parts listed in post #6 plus the styrofoam filler/backing which I didn’t see mentioned but pretty sure it’s specific to the bumper...

Thank you for the reply. I have been looking into it and the reinforcement structure is either rare to find around Europe or extremely expensive (more than the whole front end with lights and lip included). So I might need to go with reinforcement structure cutting, although I have seen some people on youtube fit a 99 Spec bumper without mentioning or showing any cutting?
The whole parts list would add quite a lot of money. Would just the bumper, lip and lights be such a bad thing to have?

Regards

You can get them from the dealerships in Europe. I ordered mine through Mazda in Norway, and the price was around €1000. It had to come from japan but at least im not paying shipping when ordering through the dealer.

Like I said, that is more expensive than the whole 'visible' front end. I can do bumper, lip and lights for less then £600. Tusen takk

Would this be worth to buy or am I better just cutting the one I have installed, which I think it is the foam one? To what I can understand I will only need to open a bit more where the turn signals fit in. Might lose some stability at the bottom which I will try to sort out as I have an under tray on the stock.

I am sorry that you feel like that. Not everyone can afford every single piece of material or the price asked
