Fd cranks but no start

Hi im new to the site but not to rotartys

I bought this 3rd gen which was sitting for 5 years.
Before it sat it started just fine
It has an apexi power fc
Upgrade turbo,Injectors , fuel pump , fmic , boost controller etc

The car cranks slow (around 250rpm) but doesnt start

We have spark
We have fuel
Fuel preasure @ 40 psi
Thr fuel pump turns on in acc mode and stays on
Theres a jumper wire in the fuel pump relay
Injectors are not stuck
It has the aem water/menthol injection but disconnected it cause it was spraying everytime we tried to start it

I do smell fuel when cranking

Plz help
I never thought i would have a 3rd gen in the family and am eager to get it started

The most likely possibility is that it's flooded, especially if you can smell fuel. Have you tried the procedure for unflooding the car? If that doesn't yield results, you may have an unplugged or broken sensor somewhere. I don't know if the PFC works this way, but when I was still on the factory ECU I had a crank, no start issue cause by a broken coolant temp sensor. By chance, do your radiator fans turn on when you turn the key? That was one symptom that was present when my sensor was broken, although I found out for sure via the diagnostics port (again, your PFC may nullify the functionality of that).

Have the compression checked.

I did the de flooding procedure and still no start up is it possible to lose compression if the car was sitting for a few years even though it was starting perfectly fine before it sat

Unfortunately, the answer is yes. That's often the case with cars that just sit for a long time with no attention. It can't hurt to test it though.

And how do YOU know it ran fine five years ago? And why was it parked in the first place?

If you’re confident that you have spark, proper fuel and timing, then you have to consider compression.

I couldn't fit my friends compression tester in the engine bay but what I noticed that in the front housing trailing Spark hole i would plug it up with my finger and it would blow it out but on the rear housing i did the same thing and barely anything came out

It appears you’ve found the cause for the hard starting issue.
