2 rotor 3 rotor
When I first time to hear rotary sound at passenger seat in RX 8, I decided to get RX 7 FD as Rotary.
(Not now, I'm moding my 240sx now. I guess 2 years later though.)
But I'm just wondering that some of You tube videos show 3 rotor engine FD.
Is that worth? May I ask what benefits have? Because I heard FD has 50:50 weight distribution as 2 rotor.
(I final goal is drifting RX7 FD. Little embarrassing though.)
I guess sounds is better, but I don't have more clues.

The 20b is a great engine and on my wish list but idk if you want to go through some real cash. That plus the work for just drifting and the 13b would be more than adiquit. I'l let someone that' actually done it really speak on it. Oh just an idea of cost constantly see
20b 4000 - 6000 (rebuild still needed)
turbo kit 2000 - 4000 (doubt you'll do twins)
fuel 1000 (Just random number)
mounting kit, ecu, ect...
I don' even know a real price for it now a days. Those are just numbers I've seen and guesstimating

Yep, there is a reason you don't see many 3 rotor cars!
I suggest you do a lot of reading, There is a vast amount of information on this forum for you to absorb. Once you have an idea what you want we can help you get an idea of the cost.
Regarding your original post; if you are planning to drift I strongly suggest sticking with the 2 rotor. You will get all the power you need and your maintenance/rebuilds will be cheaper than a 3 rotor. Even saying that, you better have a healthy bank account if you are racing!
