FC starting issue

Hi, all!

I’ve had my fc for about a year now, the engine was rebuilt prior to me having it. The car drove great in the following months up until around the fall of that year, i replaces the alternator, and battery due to it not starting. the car then ran well until the winter time. i never drove the car. but i continued to start it about once a week until eventually it wouldn’t start anymore.

What happens is the key turns, the fans come on and all of the lights/ dash lights work etcX but when i go to turn the car on there’s just a loud click, the car won’t attempt to crank.
The alternator & battery is new, i’ve checked the clutch safety switch to make sure that’s being depressed. Today i replaced the starter, and to no help it’s in the same spot.

Before replacing the starter, i had noticed these two sets of wires on the driver side inbetween the engine & the left wall, the set with the white plugs was unplugged, and had personally never touched them. I assumed because of the dirt that maybe there was a bad connection & so i cleaned it a bit, plugged them back in,

the car tried to crank! but no turning over, so i tried to clean them off a bit more, and it wouldn’t even try to crank again.

That brings me to today where i replaced the starter. I unplugged the set of wires with the black clips, and when i turned the key, there was no loud click, but there was once i plugged them back in. There’s also a small tear in the wire of this set, however i feel that the set with the white plugs could be the issue.

I’m not aware of what either set of these wires are, it looks like they both go down to the transmission.

Doea anybody have an idea what i should do next? to pursue this, or is there something else that could be the issue.

I apologize for the lack of knowledge in advance. thank you!
Tyler

do you have enough voltage? if you plug in those 2 cables you should have at least 12 volts, another problem might be a bad ground (i've had that problem too on my FB).
