woo hoo! another 'won't start' electrical problem.

ok... my car hasn't started(tranny probs.) in a month. i have a NEW battery and NEW starter. i tried to start my car for the first time in a month.. so i turn the key half way: everything works. all the lights come on etc... BUT i turn on something like the radio or my head lights and EVERYTHING just tuns back off... then i try to start the engine... NOTHING happens, but sometimes, i hear the starter click a few times. so WTF? could it just be my connections from the battery? my terminals aren't corroded. what about fuses/alternator?

i'm lost and i want to drive my baby again.. i wanna hear her sing again.. and i'm THIS close!

[sarcasm]well, thanks for your help guys[/sarcasm]

but i got it running! ohhhh! the joys of a rotary!!! don't think i'll ever own a piston... hmm, well maybe an e36 M3, or a 300zx convertable w/a TT swap

anyways.. my postitive bat. terminal was corroded pretty bad as well as the wires. so i just poured some warm water w/baking soda on em. it was also very flooded.

[sarcasm]once again, thanks for your patience....[/sarcasm]

The basic rule: clean bright shinny metal to metal contact.

Anything less will bite you sooner or later.

A little shot of clear spray enamel after they are cleaned & clamped will protect the connection longer.
