Starter? Wont start

Alright so the car won't start this week started fine last weekend. The battery is fine. The engine sounds like it is trying to turn over I can smell faint gas and when your at the back and someone else tries to start it faint whisps of smoke come out. That said the tach dosn't register much above 100rpm durning this whole ordeal.

Is this the starter saying goodbye? Any ideas?

If its turning over but just not firing, then it sounds like the starter is probably ok. Are you charging your battery while doing this cranking?

Make sure the battery is charged, get a new set of spark plugs and try this:

Alright so it wasn't just the wires. what else might be gone. this is the first time I have had a real problem with the car. The stock clutch was more or less gone when i got it and after a week of hard driving died but that was an easy diagnosis/fix does anyone have any ideas.

At this point it's also flooded and you'll need to pull the plugs and dry them out. The design of the rotary plugs causes them to trap fuel.
