88 RX7 starts but doesn't stay running

I have an 88 Rx7 non turbo. Last year it was flooding a lot, so I parked it. I was going to rebuild engine but after reading around the forums, I checked compression and it was good, so I replaced the injectors and now it starts every time right away. The problem is that it does not stay running. After testitng, I can get it to run and stay running only if I prop open the flap on the AFM. It runs rough, but it runs. What does this mean? what else should I test?
thanks for any and all advice

IAT? MAP? O2 Sensor? Did you check the sensor that are in charge of metering the fuel?

Any updates? I'm having the same problem, would replacing the AFM solve the issue?

the car starts and runs now. the problem that I had was that I did not have the whole air intake attached and screwed on , so it would not create enough vacuum to suck the AFM flapper in.
now the issue is idle is too low, so it runs rough on idle. I tried playing around with the screw on top but it is not making much of a difference. Anyone have any ideas?
thanks
