86 NA- Crank No Start, No Spark, No Tach, No Fuel
Hello group, I know this has been talked about quite often but I've searched through various threads and have found my situation unique. Was told by previous owner the battery was connected backwards and now no start. Crank no start, no spark, no tach response, no fuel (I think).
What I've tried:
- Installed Reman 86 NA Ecu
- Checked the 4 ground pins for the ECU harness, all have ground except 1 on the big plug.
- Check trailing and leading coil, they both have 12v with key ON
- I feel Main Relay click when I try to start it
- Checked fuses, all good
Possible both the coils have gone bad? Crank Angle Sensor?
When cranking I smell fuel but do not hear the pump so that's strange. But any help would be appreciated, thank you.

welcome to the board.
just so we are on the same page, when you said the fuses are all good, you are including the ones under the hood, correct?
with the tach not working, it's a possible indication that your coils are fried - trailing coil/igniter, at least.

also, you can either try jumping the fuel pump circuit (per the FSM procedure) or maybe holding the AFM door open while cranking. either one should let you know if the pump is working. for injectors and spark, you can remove the CAS, do key ON, and spin it by hand. ground the plugs on the shock tower or something, or maybe just try jumping a gap at the coil itself.

But thanks again, hope someone sees this.
