No start/grounding problem
Hi I'm trying to diagnose why my '87 N/A car doesn't start after replacing the engine. I'm not getting spark, I think i'm getting fuel. No tach.
Tested CAS, power at coils/green test connector. Compression is good(used RCTV5.2), injectors were cleaned by RCE before install, fuel pump is new,
But anyways I've found that at the ECU plugs I have continuity to ground at 3 of 4 ground pins. 3G 3A and 2R get ground. 2C is not grounded.

How can I remedy this? I was thinking about just snipping the wire at 2C and soldering it to a wire and grounding it by the ECU mounting bolts but I'm wondering now if it might interfere with some other connection down the harness. Is it related to the boost sensor ground? What can I do? I'm new at reading wiring diagrams
Desperate to start my car but can't find anything else wrong I'm triple checking all the connections thanks in advance.

You need to make sure you’re getting sparks and fuel first. Disconnect your fuel pump relay or fuse, disconnect your lead spark plugs and crank your engine and verify you’re getting sparks. Then for fuel disconnect your ignition relay or fuse and lead spark plugs and crank your engine and look for fuel mist you can smell it right away. If you’re getting all of this then start chasing wires.

Car cranks. I'm not getting any spark. I'm not positive if I"m getting fuel but my fuel pump works and I get fuel to the rail, I've triple checked my fuel lines are in right place. I have no tachometer signal. I know for certain (by putting them on my other car and it running well) that the ECU, and leading coil are functional. I have power at the leading coil 2 prong connector. I now have ground at all of the ECU's ground pins at the plug. The harness under the afm is connected to the solenoid resistor pack. My main relay clicks.I'm going to verify power to ECU now. The car ran fine before pulling the engine and replacing it with a series 4 n/a block as original. Thanks for any help this forum has been tons of help and this is the first time I feel compelled to make a post.
