ON 1st gen wheels

First post: Does anyone have a list of wheels that fit 1st gen (4x110) and where they can be purchased, offset adjustment req'd, etc? Alternatively, if I stick with the stock 13's what tires would you recommend?

Thanks

welcome to the board.

wheels with that bolt pattern are going to be pretty slim pickins. there are very few, but they do exist. if i recall someone had posted a link in the Gen I section and i had copied it into my journal. i'll have to see if i can find it and post it here for you.

on the stock wheels, i run 205/60s.

The Panasort is the most widly used in SCCA racing classes. It's available in 13 x 7 to fit the 1st gen bolt pattern. Also a posible solution is Superlight. They advertise that they can make a wheel to meet any bolt pattern or offset. The both look like the original Minilites. For tire size, go with a 205/60/13. Nice meaty tire and looks good. You may need to roll the tops of the fender lip to keep from rubbbing. I used the Panasports for many years without issue. No longer in production, but American used to make a five pointed design called the "520' or "521".

Welcome ROSS82RX7 , nice to see that there are still first gens up here . 14" and 15" mags do pop up from time to time with the old school Mazda 4x110 bolt pattern , though like others have warned , they are pretty hard to find as most have been out of production for a while. I currently have a set of Rikens 15 x 7's I use , as well as a set of Kosei 15 x7's for auto-x and a set of Rota's on my RX3 (which is the same bolt pattern).Keep checking this site for wheels that come available ....

OK it worked - great
Thanks to all for your words of wisdom. Dream36 - nice table - Afganistan, really?

So I'm suggesting that the spec for max size is 7" rim width with the same tire outside dia as stock + 1/2 in. backspace 4 1/2 in - 4x110. Any arguments? what about the center hole dia? Since wheels specifically for 1st gen seem to be scarce, any ideas what other cars share the specs? Maybe with spacers?
