How do you know it's the temperature sender if you haven't even seen it? The gauge itself is also a possibility.

Anyway, the sender is located on the driver-side of the rear iron. It will be below the oil filter and oil pressure sender, and it will have a single wire with a bullet connector.

i have the same problem and half my guages dont work like presuure temp and battery only works when u hit above the dash. anyways i fixed it by buying an after market oil pressure guage and sender and also got a aftermarket temp guage with sender(sender wouldnt fit so i tryed to use stock sender and it wouldnt read so i bought new stock sender and now it reads like 170 celsius so i know it not working right. either way u look at it soemthing was wrong in my case and now i belive i may have lossen a connection when i took my stock guges apart to put red backround in....good luck

my temp gauge shows about a 1/4inch bove the cold mark even after the race to tim hortons and the side streets(stop and go) im oing to test the sender and look for a whole new dash kit if the sender works fine. i dont trust myself with the ever so fragile dash trim to take it apart more than once

If it's showing 1/4 of the way up when fully warm, there's nothing wrong with the gauge or sender. That's what it's supposed to read.

Locate the respective senders for temp and oil. Unplug them and ground the wire in the plug w/key to on. If the gauge is working properly then the needle should rise to the top. Only ground the sender wire for testing purposes only as it will eventually damage the gauge.
