Also, how much boost you think a rebuilt motor with stock seals can take from a t78?

Thanks man. I'm looking to get red87tll's FD near the end of this week if all works out. He has a pretty good setup going on it but I think I'm going to put meth on it in the first few months. We have any really good tuners around? I live in Anne Arrundel but I'd be willing to travel for a reputable tuner of course.

Honestly i don't know that particular user or his car. As far as the motor, assuming it was a factory rebuild or at least a decent engine builder it should hold up to more boost that you'll need. A T78 is a pretty big turbo as far as I am concerned. I know to many I sound like a broken record but I am a PFS guy and have been hiring Ray for over 10 years. He's never steered me wrong. He is essentially a one man show so there is a wait but he is good and that is to be expected. www.pfsupercars.com
You didn't ask but i'll give my advice anyway. If you get the car, I'd get it up to PFS and get it looked over and tuned before going WOT on it, unless the PO assures you the tuning is safe. Other than that just try to go slow, learn the car and enjoy it. I've seen one too many cars that were ripped apart to "upgrade" by a newbie owner that never get put back together. That's what happened with my old car,. Sold 430 hp turn-key and disassembled by the new owner, left in pieces and forced to sell not running. Happens way to often. FD's handle better and drive faster than most cars on the road even bone stock. I would put some serious consideration into every mod you plan on doing and ask yourself if you really need it or not. Projects can get pricey really fast when you start down the rabbit hole.
Do you have any pix of the car?

My car is in pieces in the garage, waiting on paint to arrive. I've been stocking up on parts. I'll start a build thread as soon as i get the paint done.

I understand completely though. I've played with a lot of different types of cars over the past 6 years, subarus audis awd eclipse and rx8 to name a few, and learned the same lesson. That's one of the reasons in getting rid of my audi though. Put a lot of money in it but just haven't got much out of it. Decided if I'm going to spend the money on a car I want it to be one that I really love. Rx7 is the top of my list so it's time to make the switch back to rotary. And I always do things the right way. Lots of research and time thinking before I make a move on anything. And definitely take it to a reputable tuner when the mods are in.

That's a nice ride on paper. I think he is asking too much for the mileage it has. Assume that the pillow ***** and suspension bushings are shot. Trans will most likely need some work too. It's a $13k car though not $15k
Thanks for the advice. He's hasn't said anything since Wednesday so doubt I'll be getting it. There are a few others in the classifieds that I'm looking at though as well. Any of y'all happen to live near fort meade?
Anyone know where i can get some scrap rotary parts that arent any good for super cheap around md. Was gonna clean them up and practice porting and stuff with em.
Looking for housings rotors or shafts. Was thinking about making some cool furniture with em too

on another note, anything going on this weekend? sparks and oil changed and she feels like a new car! 2nd week with this guy tagged i wanna go out
I have some crap rotor parts laying around. LOL I have more then I want.
that's the one. the front of the car would start lifting up off the ground at 190mph.it was making the car unstable at 200mph so I put the bigger wing on with the risers and it was like you where at 90mph. hugged the road after that.
