So, do you think you deserve to just pocket about 3 grand for walking around a grass field and picking 6 cars out?

I know it's real hard to organize an event when you have everyone else advertising it, hosting websites, and getting people together.

I'm sure those 2 phone calls to the track to decide a date was worth your cut am I right?

You had no out of pocket expenses for anything, where the **** do you get off?

Just because you post a price you "think may be right off the top of your head" however many pages deep in a thread doesn't make **** right.

If you think you went about any of this the right way I think you'll find yourself in the very small minority.

wow.. I didn't have much a problem with getting shafted for an extra $5 or $10, but from what I gather...

$10x250 people = $2500
$20x100 cars = $2000
total: $4500

expenses
$5x250 people = $1250 for the track people
$40x10 trophies = $400 if they were $40 each.
total: $1650

Profit:
$4500 - $1650 = $2850

I am sure there were more people and cars though.

for $3k in my pocket I'll arrange next years rotorfest and I'll throw in a wet t-shirt granny contest.

this is a $40 trophy

i made 1 million dollars off this event, i can now retire to florida. i never asked anyone to promote anything. everyone goes out of their own way by themselves. i guess that is my fault too.

i didnt get anywhere near what you guys think i did, but think what you want.

We promote becuase we care about having a place to socialize and drive with fellow rotary enthusiasts, the same ppl we talk with for years on the forums. So a few of us take it upon ourselves to make sure this event has a good outcome, but then get shafted.

It wouldn't be to hard to setup an event. The main issue is having the time to do so. I don't have time to set an event up. If I did, I wouldn't be pocketing any money from it!

How many spectators and how many cars?

There were easily 125 cars. Thats $2500. If even 50 of those brought spectators (I'm guestimating low here) thats another $500.

Your costs were $5 a head to the track. You collect $3000 (low estimate) and pay the track $875 and walk away with $2125 in your pocket for walking in circles.

If the number of cars was closer to 150, you're up over $2500

Wait a second, I just remembered... when mono4lamar and I were coming through the gates, we asked why the price was so high, and you said it was the boss' rules. He said "What if I can't pay that much?", and you said,"He'll come out with his shotgun".

You're a lying POS, and a scammer beyond any others I've seen on the forum. Can a mod please ban this guy? It's VERY evident that a LOT of people are witnesses to this guy's actions!

last year i lost money including gas and trophies. so i should spend $400+ on trophies when the track guarantees me nothing$$? those trophies were paid for by my bank account way before the event. i'm sorry they are not up to everyone's high standards in trophies.

It is time consuming. I have two jobs, go to college full times, run a website (www.nyrotary.com) and hold events/bbqs etc. Just for what happened today ima take on this new load and try to organize a new event. Even if i fail i will try my hardest NOT to make it what it was today.

Thanks everyone for the support. I guess we are all on the same team afterall

Lol you lost gas money? You drove your car right? I don't see how thats lost. Are you so special we should all foot the bill for your gas? gtfo.

Your poor planning last year is no reason to gouge people this year.

If you do not know how to plan an event out properly, that is evidence enough that you shouldn't be doing it.

So pocketing over 2 grand is still ok?

last year i lost money including gas and trophies
How much f'ing gas money do you think me and others that drove hours to the show are out? I drove 6 hours down and 7.5 hours back. Stopped at the gas station 4 times. YOU ARE LOCAL!

How much money in TOTAL was lost from the people who were entered in the show withou notice? Im out $40, thats minus the $10 for each my friend and I but includes the amount I had to fork over for a friend to get in because you would let him, wait, you gave discounts to those that didn't have enough....... Did you not like him? Did you think there were to many Rx8s?

I thought you were not reading this thread no more?
