You could always rip out the cruise control box and yank the cable that runs from it to the throttle body till you figure out whats messed up with it...

David, thanks for letting me know about the parts. This is Jacob's project though. He has some other financial obligations to take care of before he starts buying parts but I am going to tell him to talk to the parents to see if he can go ahead and get those parts from you. Do you have the front bumper for that car as well? I know he is going to need a front bumper and front bumper mounts (they will need to be cut off and welded onto his car. I am a little worried about what kind of shape the frame is going to be in just behind the bumper itself though, we will see. Regardless, I will talk to him about it and get back to you tonight or tomorrow.

hey, good to hear there's some rotor heads in the richmond area. i've got an 88 se i just rebuilt the engine on with all new internals, some porting, and sleeve inserts. i'm working out problems with idling and starting currently. i've got some serious plans for it after that. but it'd be hot to get with ya'll, so holla.

The last few pages of the FSM, section S, pages S-117 thru 121 has measurement points and lengths for checking out the frame.

Mike, I dunno if I'm gonna autox tomorrow. As of now it's looking like I might come and just ride for a little then go home. I have an exam on monday, and 2 more on tuesday. What's your cell # again? I'll call you if it looks like I can make it. What time are you guys meeting at thomas dale? How do I get there again? My cell is 804-337-2490. Good luck to everyone going if I don't see ya.

Anyone know what's allowed in STX? I'm looking for a full list of mods I can do. I don't think I can hold out on modding anymore. Full exhause (downpipe back) = legal, yes? Need to plan out christmas

I never really liked it, so I sold it. Never really fit well and I didn't like how much it stuck out.

Hey guys there is a guy in my area who I talked to about taking an 88 GTU off his hands. It looks fairly nice expect it hasn't moved for 3 years. The engine doesn't run, but It looks like something fun. I'll get some pics up soon.

Nice pics Zach, can't wait to see it in action. I may know of a parking lot you can test it out in.....it may cost you though, perhaps letting me drive it..! j/k..if we can get it out to short pump i could open up THE parking lot, let me know.

Hope everyone had a happy and safe Thanksgiving.
