hey guys, I'm gonna be moving up the richmond next year, gonna tranfer to VCU. I'm pretty excited, looks like you guys have a decent Rx-7 community up there. I'm wrapping up my project fb right now. Streetported 1a, blow-through turbo, s4 turbo with a turbonetics upgrade, spearco intercooler, yadda yadda....Hope I can get up with some of you guys next year.

DAMN Mike, I'm so sorry to hear about that. I'm glad you're ok though. Of course it's the one time you aren't wearing all of your gear

Consider yourself lucky you are not a vegetable after a wreck like that. I layed a bike down going 30 mph once, and broke my wrist. OK-so it was a Honda Spree, and I got the brakes mixed up...

Grendel--How much are you looking to spend on a S5 turbo & manifold? I may be able to help you out with your search. Also, I have a list of gaskets with part #s that you will need for the swap. I can even get you a deal on the parts being that my brother is a parts mgr for mazda!!!

yea, this is the helmet i dropped.. THANK GOD it wasnt cracked. im convinced it saved my life.. you cant tell in the pictures, but you can see when i hit the ground and it spidercracked all to hell. i JUST got it painted. i got it back friday morning, and havent even paid the guy yet, but it served its purpose well. my head didnt feel a thing.

and heres me... my friend's mom is a nurse, so she redid the bandages for me. i took some pictures. alot of the white stuff is the cream they gave me. they are treating me like its a burn. let me tell you, if you havent had this happen before, hitting the pavement at 65mph was NOTHING compared to them SCRUBBING at my roadrash. i fell on a pretty sandy road.

after the wreck, there was SO much dirt, and rocks in there. it was so nasty. ill admit, i cried.

sleeping was horrible last night, even worse when i finally woke up and started moving around.

Damn man, that sucks. Like you already said, you got REALLY lucky that you weren't hurt worse. I had a friend who layed his bike down going about 45 (also wasn't wearing a jacket...) and his road burn looked 10x worse than yours. Plus he slid into the start of a guard rail and it tore his leg up really bad.

Not at all, now I can sit at home and not be tempted to go out every night to entertain myself spending money in the process.

Updates via Pictures

As those of you that I know, I have an incredible stockpile of parts and stuff for my TII, yet have lacked time/interest/money/etc to work on the car. Well recently, I have had a bit of motivation and wanted to share some pics and experiences.

Have heard the nightmares about FC front rotor removal. Well I experienced it. Look at the corrosion built up on the spindle. Also note the large sledgehammer that helped remove said rotor.

Complete!!! Brembo cross drilled all around. Would have preferred slotted but for ~$100 all around, I take what I can get.

Bare block! Leaks, nastyness, dirt, burned up wiring harnesses, dried out vaccum hoses, its interesting in there. Coming back together with S5 turbo and and manifolds, no emissions of course, modified OMP, 680cc SE injectors, and some other good stuff.

Old S4 turbo. Man this thing made some interesting sounds when spooling. My "new" $6 RB 80mm downpipe sticking on it. Its getting put in the oven for some homemade powercoating later in the week.

Comparision of stock precat/DP and the RB. Yummm to flow!

More of the Pic Update

Taurus cupholder install. As you can see, I care about cupholder more than radio. Hehe. Honestly though, having forzen nuts from holding drink between legs is much worse than no tunes. Not that I drive anyway...

When stripping my motor, I took the airbox off. Well carrying it, it started to rattle. I took the top off and this is what I discovered. NO IDEA how they got in there. Critters maybe?!?!? I do believe this is why the car ran hot, down on power, etc though.

Lastly, S5 bumpers installed. Rear was put on tonight. Front and trim to come this week. With the bumper installed, it now has a complete S5 rear end. Me likey The Rexxy has got the padunkadunk now

acorns give you boost

squirrels are fast...maybe the squirrels were tryign to give youre t2 a little boost over the competition, hey...if acorns make those crazy little critters as fast as they are...why not...

as for the icy cold drink between my legs, its like an ac...since mine doesnt work so well, well it works...its just not as strong as the hot exhaust gases that leak into the cabin...its great in the wintertime tho...just watch out you dont get slee...zzzzZZzzz

Why is it that when I get on the forum regularly nobody posts, but when I don't, there's 10,000 more pages?

Mike, you lucky SOB. The shoulder is still attached, so that’s good.

Joe, you lucky SOB. I want a playstation.

Robin, the pic didn’t work.

Acorn extract is like NOS.

The silver FC in the 4th heat is actually a TII, I can't wait to see how Rob does.

Hello to the Richmond RX-7 owners out there. I am currently shopping for an FD here in the Richmond area so if you all hear of any good ones let me know. I currently own an RX-8 and can't wait to get an FD and get to work on it. Do any of you hang out with the car club on Fridays? I have been to a few of them so you might actually know me if you have been there. I am The Tick on the RX-8 club forums but I thought it would be a nice change of pace to get a new handle

well I need to get back to work so I can pay for an FD

I have seen a ton of RX-8's in Richmond, I think I've seen maybe 3 FD's.
I think I'd sell both my cars if I could find a nice unmolested FD.

Yeah, I have not had much luck finding an FD around here that I actually like or that is priced decently. I would love to get an unmolested one also the only mods that I would do are ones that will help extend the life of the engine/turbos.

Yeah, probably.

I installed some brownbread the other day.
It made a little bit of a difference. I guess it's worth it if you do more than just the doors.
