Did you do it as the manual says? There's a certain amount of tension you want to have on the belt.

I think it's right, however, I want to make sure. When I push down on the belt, how much should it give?

Hmmm, where would you find that information?

Don't tell me you don't have a manual yet... at least a PDF manual...

lol, I've got it, however, how do I check the tension? using a ruler? Teach me how to read the FSM Master Dimen. The FSM, Hard it is. (starwars and yoda reference)

At the top of that page it shows how to check deflection rather than tension. Deflection can be done by eye or with a straight edge and ruler.

Remember to disconnect the battery before you ever touch the belts. You wouldn't want to lose a finger.

I hate to sell out guys, but I don't think I will be there Sunday. As much as I would like to support Jon and GetFast, I don't know if I will feel satisfied autocrossing anymore. Maybe my opinion will change after the remaining adrenaline wears off, but I don't know.

Also, I have a in-car video that was shot from my car, it is a 808MB .avi. Anyone know how I can get it on youtube?

Apparently the pictures in the noob thread's link actually do work... but not on the school computer...

The 'other woman' is virginia international raceway. I was there Monday & Tuesday for a two day HPDE event. It was a f-ing blast.
Don't know that autocross will do it for me anymore...

Looks like the video is going to be hosted here.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gNZpPOZP4U

I spin coming out of turn two, tires were cold and I rolled into the throttle too quickly....it was the only time that happend, I swear!! I took it easy going around b/c I had to go into the pits and discuss what happened, then I go back out for about 10-15 minutes of running hard. We could only pass in the back straight, front straight and the south straight with a point by.

Hopefully the quality is decent since I compressed it from 808mb to 38mb!

rebuild the engine in the black FC and you're ready to go

it's already got an all metal dual pass radiator, the entire clutch system has been replaced, get you some good wheels and tires and you'll be running in no time

I even have some additional upgrades sitting around for someone to purchase.........
GTUs diff, SS braided brake lines, Borbet Type S wheels

I assume you mean just the upgrades - (everything else is already on that car)
The GTUs diff was $400
Brakelines were around $90 - they're for single pot calipers though
Wheels were around $100 each (comes free w/ very corded set of Hoosiers)
basically I'd sell for around 75% of what I paid for you local guys

The white FC I'm not ready to sell yet, I'll let you guys have first crack at when I do
but be aware it won't go for cheap

well that pretty much what an autocross is - it's just a tighter (thus lower speeds then a road course)
NASA also does Time Trial events on the short course (Patriot) at VIR several times a year - I've been to 3 of those and they are VERY fun and fast.
You will not get out there without some autocross experience though.

Then you got your HPDE's on the full course $$$

Talk to Jon Felton next time he's at a Starbucks meet - he's got the green 4-door M3, usually has numbers plastered all over it. He is in charge of all things race related in Nasa Mid-Atlantic.

how much are you asking for the diff?

and do the borbets come with those DOT slicks you had on them?

I'd like to get $300 for the diff
and the Borbets do come with Hoosier slicks - they are showing some cord though

so $300 for the set of wheels as well - the only wear they've seen is at 3 seasons of autocrosses and 3 Time Trial events on the Patriot Course
I believe they're also discontinued in FC fitment sizes as Tirerack doesn't list the Type S anymore
at least for FC's
Lastly they are 15" wheels, some of you may know why I might have chosen a small wheel with fairly low profile tire for autoX

Planning on it.

Now if my million dollar loan would just go through...

Dave, did you see the wheels I picked up from Robin? Not sure if i can run those on the track or not cause I'll need spacers, but maybe some good street wheels!

Those should be fine for autoX and HPDE
were they Enkei's?
can't see them here at work because of the firewall

Really? I thought I read somewhere in the rulebook (can't find anything now) that said no Spacers.

Yeah those Enkei's he had for sale on CL. He must have taken the listing down 'cause I can't find it now, and I haven't taken any pictures yet.
