If you meet us right by the holland tunnel in HOBOKEN i will take you with me. Given, if i take my girls truck. But coming back your going to find your own way home or leave when i leave, and i will leave you by the holland tunnel? How does that sound.

P.S Oh bring proof you own a 7 or you cant come

Holland Tunnel is in Jersey City. I'll see if I can get there. It's a hike though. What's the address we're meeting at?

here's proof of the 7

WHen i pick up my girl i get out the holland tunnel, i make a right on Marin BLVD go down to some street and make a left and right where the NJ trains are is HOBOKEN. So maybe your deep in HOBOKEN.

There is no address its a gas station/dunken donuts/baskin robins. Also your gonna spot for gas. Your lucky gas is cheaper in jersey.

Only part im questioning is off of Route 80 it says to get out on exit 26 while others say exit 19? Any suggestions or comments?

Sometimes these directions make take different routes thats why i want to confirm that everyone will be traveling the same way with one set of UNIVERSAL directions.

For NY people who dont know how to get to Washington street. If you come out the Williamsburg Bridge (from BQE) just make a right on Allen Street and a left on Houston and follow that thru with the other directions posted on the other pages and its made easy. ANyquestions email me, PM me or call me.

Jason NYC

EDIT: Its a bit more descriptive but thas what i use when i work for a Limousine COmpany. etc

Pretty much just like you guys said route 1/9 to 280 to 80 but im getting exit 26 and some are getting exit 19

You can modify your directions to this:

Take the CR-517 S exit- EXIT 19- toward HACKETTSTOWN. 0.2 miles
Turn LEFT onto CR-517. 4.7 miles
Turn RIGHT onto US-46 / MAIN ST. Continue to follow US-46. 5.1 miles

I've only gone the exit 19 directions to get to Island...

I rather go this way... I don't care about the tolls... Even I get pulled over by a cop for speeding it will never amount to the money and time I would have to waste to buy another rim... Plus the longer the trip the more fun we will have...

PS. I also injoy the attention.....

its up to you guys..my friend said he will work for me so i guess that means i can go!!!

if anything, ill just follow you guys, whatever route you take..

well just so you guys know, my car is 2 inches off the ground... with expensive rims and i wouldnt mind driving through 280.

the tolls will be a major headache when driving in packs... some will have eazypass, some wont, some will have change, some wont, it will just be a mess.
the potholes can be sucked up. just do a lot of quick maneuvering hehe

jay.... one word of advice, from my experience with caravans.....

set the times and stick with it. if you say leave at 9am, you gotta leave at that time... otherwise you will end up waiting forever

I'm with you on this one. My rims and tires cost $4000. and hitting potholes is not fun, especially on 18" rims.

jay = me

Yeah like i said, 8am meet up on NY side then at around 820-830am leave NY we will be in NJ in a few minutes. Then at 9am we will leave NJ. I am coming prepared with food/water/sandwhiches etc so i wont need to stop in the morning. But for anyone thats wakes up late or prefers to run light then they can grab something at the dunkin donuts or the gas stations.

I will be in the city at 745am. I want to see everyone arriving and get a chance to socialize.

Lets agree to what route we will take. best bet so far with some slight opposition, but as of now is Holland Tunnel to Route 1/9 -->280--->80 and get out exit 19 right? Good

Now if were going to be rolling deep, when we get to NJ , some cars wont be together some will be in the donut shop others in gas stations. So just to let everyone know at 9am we will be leaving so take a ****, find a hoooker, get ure snacks and at 9am we will be out.

its not about the tolls... its about keeping the caravan together...

as i said before, the potholes arent that bad, i have 621lbs springs all around, and rims and tires just as expensive or more expensive than yours.... and i wont compromise them getting bent just like you or the next guy.

oh yeah RR7...... if we cant get there by 11, i have to get there on my own... cuz im in the staff and i need to get there before huge crowds get there

i totaly agree thats why im asking everyone to throw in there two cents. Mostly everyone agrees with ROUTE 1/9 -->I-280---->i-80 to exit 19 then going a lil localThe night before i will post again the final list of whose going, the times to meet up on the NY side and the time to meet up on the NJ and the time we will be departing the holland tunnel area going to RF2005.

UPDATE: Most likely i cant bring my seven due to my lil fire, i think some other stuff got toasted. I also ordered new tires since one of my tires is rocked, and is not safe to drive with. I will work on my car and try to have it ready by sunday. A couple of otehr rotary guys from my hood want to go so i gotta see if they want to troop with us. they wont be driving sevens or rotary powered cars but there older gentelmen who have been doing this for a long time....

NY GUYS: I checked out the street today and drove on it. Its a typical NY Streets with humps and bumps. Its a commercial block with big *** Buildings for UPS and what not. Empty streets and easy acess to the Holland Tunnel. If anyone has questions on how to get there let me know now so i can help you out. DOnt call me the same day telling me your lost cuase i will try to help you but im out at 830am sharp heading out to NJ to meet up. SO if your late and cant meet us there go straight to jersey and catch us before we leave.

another suggestion to get to rotorfest for those who dont want potholes.

route #1 1/9 -> 280w-> 80w

route #2 turnpike south --> exit 14(newark) --> 78w local (there is a big pothole right before you enter the curve for 24w in the middle lane ) -> 24w- > 287n -> 80w -> exit 19

route #3 turnpike --> parkway (around edison exit 129 off parkway) --> 80w ( around exit 160 off parkway) ... this route is goint to take you at least 2 hours because it just goes around central and northern new jersey

route #4 turnpike --> 287n (exit 1 off 287) --> 80w... this saves you about 30 mins from the previous route

route #5 turnpike (or 1/9)--> exit 14 rt 22 -->parkway north --> 80w

route #6 new york guys go to lincoln tunnel or george washington bridge

if i think of anymore routes ill let you guys know

personally... id like to take route #2 cuz there arent to many uphills like 280, wider roads, smoother roads, but 10-15 mins further than route #1 , and there is 1 toll

no cops on:
78
turnpike

cops in 2 spots on 24, but only during quota time

some cops on 287n

not familiar with 80

parkway has some cops that are sleeping, and some cop cars with noone in it

not familiar with 80w or 280 as far as cops

1/9 has cops when you get to the stoplights around the airport/elizabeth/linden/rahway etc.

if it matters, 24, 287(most of it), parkway, turnpike are asphalt roads,
280, 78 are concrete (road noise, but lighter in color to compliment your cars for videos... lol)

I agree, we should be there by 11...

Also, I think Jason has earned at least an honorable mention for his effort setting this up! So far he has been the force driving behind this caravan!!!! Say a '05 Rotorfest T-shirt is in order(or maybe a one of those hookers at dunkin donuts).
