I forgot his name, but I heard the main guy (Yellow third gen) at BPR works at a Mazda Dealer somewhere down in Mass.

Just pick up a Pettit, Rotary Resurection or some other big name rebuild that is street ported.

My 3rd gen should be damn near 400 when its properly tuned right (winkwinkMaxwink). There might be some hidden message in the previous line.

I am pretty much open all evenings. What took care of the other FD's issues?

well the engine had no UIM gasket, no TB gasket, fast idle cam was stuck in high idle mode, injector insulators were junk, FPD was leaking like hell, his LSU4 sensor was crushed, and he needed a proper tune wicked bad. it took a little longer than i wanted to get all done and tuned. we had to wait for parts and the weather to clear up a bit.

yea it ended up not being a huge problem. just a half-assed job done by someone else that needed fixing. i just assumed it was something major because the customer said he had brought the car to 2 other shops and they couldnt find the problem. but its all set and now theres one more rx7 prowling the streets of new england and that makes me happy.

Just to let my fellow local guys know, I have some FC parts that I could sell. My old man sold my 89 without my knowledge so it might be some time before I pick up another one. I have a posi rear end, a tranny that needs rebuilding (sychros are shot), some interior trim pieces, and many pollution control parts like air pumps (2) and what not. Let me know what you need and I will see if I have it. I am posting the stuff here before the 2nd gen section to give the local guys a chance first. Its all gotta go since the next one is going to be a Turbo II or GTU-S.

I also have a good set of 89 irons, light weight rotors and housings, but the offer is going to have be REAL good for me to let that go since I plan on rebuilding it.

Thank god the FD is in my garage and he can't get to that one.

Happy Holidays everyone!
