I have yet to install it. I havn't had the time and I have to swap out front covers since the one I have on now doesn't have the drive gear assembly for the OMP.
So im going to swap covers and put on one that im going to polish up soon. Along with a polished water pump housing. Just for looks

Yes it does stop the OMP from injecting motor oil. I basically moved the pickup from the side of the omp to the rear and blocked the main pickup with JB weld and I am using cork and rubber as a gasket meterial between the omp and front cover instead of the o-ring.
I expect I should be able to drive over 3000 miles without filling it up. I havn't found out exactly how many qts the resi will hold but from the looks, it may hold about 2-3 qts atleast.
One major problem with this type of resi is that if it gets to low, the 2 stroke can flow away from the pickup tube under hard deceleration or acceleration or hard cornering. Although since I will have the pickup on the back of the resi, the oil should flow toward the pickup under accerleration. Still, I will never have it more then half way down. That should be atleast 1.5 qts I think. I still have to find out how many qts it will hold.

hey I know I have seen some of you around, specifically the red FB in Manch. I waved, I was in the silver RX-8 (P1R4T3). So ya the 7 will be off the road for a little bit since she has a small oil leak in the metal cooler line. I also need the exhaust redone, RotaMan99 knows what I mean there.
Any way I was thinking of a small meet for us NH guys and a few MA guys at my place. I have a decent size single bay garage we could use and a nice backyard and all. Would be fun as hell I think, we could bbq some food and chill. Perhaps do a nice little drive, I know some awesome roads around the area. Any thoughts on this? In any case if ya see me around give a toot or a wave.

Going on EBAY soon.
I may be coming to that, along with 5-6 other 7 owners from the MARX7 "club" (23rd officially, right?). We'd had a couple of events at Kimballs in the past, excellent spot for a meet, in my opinion but watch out for the driveway - it takes out lip spoilers pretty readily...

We're also trying to plan another event, possibly at Widefoot Racing in Hillsbourough (sp?) NH. If anyone's interested, I can post more details if/when they're available.
Thanks,
