Yeah i understand that.

To be honest, i go to my own meets where i know a good few personally that i hang out with on non car meet days so i know what you mean.

Its just very hard to motivate yourself to get up and going on a cold night to meet and practically do nothing except stand around and talk.

Like i said, when warmer weather comes, im sure you'll or we'll have bigger turnouts.

But not when its 5 cars a week, you're just wasting your gas and time. Might as well just sleep early.

And thats another reason why people dont go, because of getting up for work the very next morning.

 

Well the meets now to me are just practically for the new people or the people that lost touch with the crowd. I'm a prime example about those meets where not that many people go to... i didn't have my 7 for over a year, before that i was not a big member but now i want to get involved more and attend to the meets wherever there are just to meet people with 7's. I don't care if they are 1st, 2nd or 3rd gens even rx8's i think is just cool to meet and shoot the **** for a few min then go home. Yeah it is a bit cold out, but that's why we are doing it in a parking lot of a business so we can seat it and talk not stay out there and freeze your cojones out. Well in the case that anyone can't afford a drink or something, hey bring a buddy and ask them to pay for you (LOL) or ask some one to buy you a drink, water or soda from me lol... well you guys get the message... The big meets start with the small ones and there is nothing like a caravan or a crowd of 7's...

 

exactly......like tonight we had a FD come out to hang with us......his car is absolutely beautiful.....one FD and 7 or 8 8's.......i just dont get why you guys dont represent any more.....like you got no motivation.....the original poster hasnt even shown up and we are always open to new guys....wasnt that what you were looking for?

 

I will show up eventually. Just don't feel like coming out in crappy weather

That is a matter of opinion. Anywho, I will come out when my far is on the road. Until then you can find my under it working.

 

i have been driving my car since monday and is okay, the weather today was terrible this morning but i had to get home some how. I'm still doing work on the car and i would love to come out during the week but my day off is Saturday. This saturday i will go to JPR so he can do some minor stuff then i'm going to meet with Ryan in Rahway and then whatever... i was trying to meet but it seems that everyone is waiting for a perfect day. Even on the summer no that many people would come out because they were doing things with the family, THEY WEREN'T FINISH WORKING ON THEIR CAR, and so on... i'm going to take off on a Tuesday and meet with you guys, i'm a let you know ahead of time....

We need this tuesday meet to be more general car related. But you probably wont see me at these meets til we are seeing 50+ degree AT NIGHT.

 

Yeah, like I said before, I am down to hang out but I like more productive get togethers like bbq's and install sessions. I have a ton of tools and some good experience and its always a blast to wrench on a couple cars at once with music jamming and a beer or two.

well after taking a long break, i decided to get back behind the wheel of my fc.
if i'm available, i usually try and hit up the weekly meets.
i roam the Union/Roselle area. but i'm always up for a good drive :-D
