ouch... I got an idea.... don't speed more than you think you can get away with if you get caught :-P

Oh yeah, the 1984 and on test is the treadmill test for emissions, before that they just let u sit there and take your idle emissions and then you rev (in neutral) to like 2000 rpms, and they read the emissions again. Thats what they did when I had my old 1983 buick regal (like 6 years ago).

Oh yeah, how long does it normally take them to send you emissions papers. I've had the ae86 registered since june, and I still haven't gotten a notice.

GODDAMN ************.
I've ordered Brake rotors 3 times in the past two weeks and no one has them. Now MY temp tag is about to expire and I need brakes to pass. (not too safe with the old ones either). So now I'm going to have to go get my front rotors turned, I have good new brake pads... so I guess I'll put those on in the front.

What a damn shame. I'm so mad. I could have had nice new slotted/crossdrilled rotors all around. damnit damnit damnit. Now I just need to make sure everything else gets here on time for me to take my t2 to TN to get the new engine in. ****** a.
Dude!!! about ya brakes... if you ever in the Essex area... go to Advance autoparts by MVA... there is a lil garage spot that will get you rotors in a matter of hours!!! and they'll take care of everything right then and there... i advise you to get there like 8-9am... to be the first one seen.. since its on a first come first serve bases..

f1bluerx7: have you looked at tirerack? I've had good luck getting parts REALLY fast from them. They're not the cheapest all the time, but usually when I order stuff from there, I get it the next day, or at the latest 2 days.

Yeah... i'd have to say Eibach Pro springs and AGX adjustables are awesome... lol, even if I couldn't fully say because some asshat installed them wrong, I still liked the feel of them

Edit: To give more info, the fronts are 4 way adjustable and the rears are 8 way

yeah, I had eibach pro-kit and kyb gr2 struts (they didn't make agx for that car) on my old car.... when I put those on there it was like buying a completely different car.... it handled so much better.

Another setup that is good, at least on jettas, is Apex-I springs (the 2.5"lowering kind) and bilstein non-adjustable shocks. The ride in my old jetta was still very composed over harsh surfaces, and on smooth highways, the car felt rock solid to 120 (fastest I ever drove).

suds
