WAAAH.....Anybody know whether I should get a street port or not? I still cant decide if it is worth it. What exactly happens to the short block when u get one...and what are the power gains?

Thanks again guys

I would go with the street port... specially because it would cost a lot later on if you decide you want one.

port for power.

one thing you need to realize really quick if you want to play with these 7's. And that is not to be afraid of the rebuild. Porting or not porting is not a once and a lifetime chance. Its more like a every couple of years decisions. So I would say street port as large as possible. And the gains will be only noticed with other power mods

Yeh, he's saying, where should the power be :p

Street port = midrange power without really compromizing low end. Great daily driver.
Large street port = high-midrange power and high end, but little low end. OK daily driver.
Monster Port = Tons of high end power, but no low end at all. Car is now officially a pain to drive on the street and chugs gas like crazy.

So . . considering that his car is a daily driver . . . :-p

Haha, mine gets 28MPG on the highway, and I've got decent low end :P I dont know what you're talking about, you must be thinking about one o them turboed rotaries :p

But you are right, it does describe the rotary, however, monstrous porting makes all of that WORSE, so much worse :p
