im not one who really cares or is afraid of competition there so its a moot point.

in OTHER news, im gonna see about getting my car in the shop to get it running since i got slammed with NO place to store it while i go off for 5 months. SOMEHOW my parents think it will get ticketed for sitting in their driveway untagged. we dont have an HOA so its considered private property. course i have to take out a damn loan from the bank to pay for it, BUT it might live again before i head out in june.

Hell, if the city of Mount Rainier can tow my former TII out of my driveway for the same reason, you best believe it's possible elsewhere...

We don't have a HOA either, but we do have Code Enforcement...

No, that doesn't work.... At least in my former neck of the woods it didn't.... how else do you think I got the notice that my car was to be towed?

Code Enforcement Chief's quote: "If the car is not tagged and properly registered in the city of Mount Rainier, we do have the authority to remove your car from your property.... It's to prevent people from having multiple cars sitting around and reducing the unsightlyness of our neighborhoods"

WTF? It's not like i'm in WV and I have 5 cars out back on "repair" status, just one in my driveway in proper condition... They act as if I threw the motor on bricks in the front lawn or something....

I even checked with the police, and they said it's legal.... In a "being a *****" sort of way...

this is a little side parking lot area of my driveway that can hold 3 cars without blocking the garage access. and i told them it was gonna have a cover over it. if a cop comes up and looks underneath then its tresspassing and invasion of privacy (whatever that law is you can have a cop sued for peeking in your windows since its private property)

i had my hoa tell me they wanted me to move the rx7 and i told them to go **** themselves. we have assigned parking and i told them until they gave me another parking space it wasnt moving from the backyard. they havent said anything to me since then either. and ive got **** out the *** in my yard. moped, 3 wheeler, car, motorcycles. haha needless to say my hoa hates me.

Homeowners associations are annoying...but that's part of living where you do. when you buy the house, you knowingly enter into a contract with them...and they have the right to fine you. krautrocket got fined for doing his suspension at his parents' house, and i've been fined for doing an oil change at mine.

it's all a part of living where you do...i'm sure your HOA will be happy to see you leave

Well I've been lucky so far. Damn near full garage and tools and normally work with the doors up. The FD is becoming very time consuming. I may be askin for some help soon if I can get all the housings cleaned by sunday.
