Had fun. Realized I need TURBO!!!!!! But it was fun. I'll definitely be at the next meet. I think we're gonna try to do it on Randi's side of the water this next time. There's a couple Hooters over here, or some other places. Damn that shop in Chesapeake is sweet.

Yeah, you guys that left early shoulda stayed just a little while longer. About 5 minutes after you left, it seemed everyone showed up. It was great seeing Randi and Dave Bunting again, it has been a while since I had seen them. Will's show was nice. I am not really into drag racing, but he had some nice hardware around there.

Next time we do it on a weekend. You guys have seen the schedule I posted a few days ago. We used to always meet on the 2nd Sunday of every month rotating between Randy and Dave's houses because both of them had plenty of parking. I like Saturdays, but I realize that many people have to work on Saturdays. Sundays are usually autocrosses for me when I can find time.

Soooooooo...... Make date/time suggestions and we will come up with a date/time by Wednesday. Everyone will have had a time to suggest something, then I'll set a time/place. I am infavor of going over to the Newport News side for a change, we haven't gone over there in a while.

If we have it over there, any of you want to suggest a place. Hooters have worked out in the past, but anything else is fine too. I think the Hooters on Mercury has a pretty small parking lot, and the one on Jefferson always seems to me to have a packed parking lot, with not much usually available in the adjoining shopping center parking lot.

Topeka's on Big Bethel near AMC24 would be pretty cool. Good food and atmosphere.

Just a thought.

Sorry i couldnt go guys. I got stuck with watch right after i got off work, and had to put in 18 hours on thursday. I think weekends would be a little better for our meets, but im not to sure about where. Ive been in va beach for a couple years, I'm still not sure about what everyone is talking about by other side of the water. I'm guesing everyone meens past hampton tunnel. I really dont want to make that drive. So if i am way off someone let me know.

It would only take 30 mins to get to Hampton from VA Beach. Just take 64 to Oyster Point rd, head down Oyster Point, take a right on Warwick Blvd, then the first light, take a left. 2nd street take another left, and you're there.

It'd be a 45 min ride to Randi's.

Gravy.

Randi's would be cool, but I'd want to make sure he is ok with that. If not Topeka's is cool too. It is also pretty easy to get to or give directions. There is a map to Randi's house somewhere near the beginning of this thread. I still have it so if we go that route we can give everyone directions that way.

Sounds like you guys are leaning towards Topeka's by the AMC24 for the next meeting (Unless someone asks Randy and he says it is ok). I haven't looked at dates, but I am thinking a Saturday.

Well here is a list of uncomming events I am interested in ....

8/1 ODR SCCA Autocross, Pungo Fairgrounds, Virginia Beach ( http://www.odr-scca.org/ )
8/8 Beachcombers Corvette Club Open (to all makes and models) autocross, Pungo ( http://beachcomberscorvetteclub.com/BCC_Events.htm ) no other info
8/14 Battle of the Imports drag races Virginia Motorsports Park ( http://www.virginiamotorsportspk.com/battle_imports.htm )
8/15 Tidewater Sports Car Club autocross ACU-4 Little Creek Anphib Base, Virginia Beach ( http://tidewatersportscarclub.com/ )
8/21-22 Evolution Autocross School, Pungo Fairgournds Virginia Beach ( http://www.odr-scca.org/ for info )
8/28-29 SCCA Solo II Divisonal Championship Event ACU-4 Little Creek ( http://www.sedivsolo2.com/ )

Someone give Randy a call and find out what date is OK with him. I would rather not conflict with one of those dates, but if we have to, we have to. No biggie. It is his choice if we have it at his house (obviously).
