I have to check on the choke cable for you. I told Monty that I would check on it and I have not gotten to it yet. Sorry.

Rebuilding the carb is easy. It is just a matter of following the directions, not losing any parts, and cleaning everything up by soaking it in carb cleaner, and replaing a few of the parts, and putting it back together.

The hard part is tuning it back to normal when you get it back together.

I can rebuild a carb but my schedule is anything but free. I'll see what I can do, but I can't promise anything. If possible, you could drop it off or something and I could rebuild it. It's not a few hour process or anything.

i got maddies carb out of the car.

for my first time it was rather weird setup ive ever seen. but it came out smooth and easy ...now the easy part...rebuilding it.what can i spray on the area near where the carb was to clean it off to make a clean job cause i like to make my work look profetional .and i figured since its out why not clean it..i was thinking a wire brush and brake cleaner ive used that for most of my cleaning on my car.

Uh, spray carburetor cleaner is best. Cover up the holes in the intake with tape or something, shoot it with carb cleaner and wipe, spray again let it sit, wipe. etc. If your seal on the carb opening is good then you can use a hose, but I probably wouldn't

Carb cleaner == throttle body cleaner for all intents and purposes. There is a slight differance, but it is minor.

Soak the carb parts in carb cleaner for 24-48 hours to get all the little passages clean in the carb body, then blow them all out with compressed air to make sure they are completely clean.

You can get the auto parts store brand cheap, like a few bucks. Have a look at Walmart.

You actually need 2 different kinds. The soaking kind comes in what looks like a 1 gallon house paint can. They have it for less than $10. The spray stuff is about $2 or so. You should be able to do it with the brake cleaner you have for cleaning the heat shield and area where the carb mounts.

The soaking part is really needed to clean the carb parts though.

Got jumped at Taco Bell/KFC on the corner of Warwick and Nettles about an hour ago. Some little punk came and sucked punched me. IT WAS ****** ON!

He got a few hits in, but I kicked him in the *****, then did the 'ol hockey move. Pulls his shirt over his head and upper cut as hard as I could right to the face. A couple of guys run out and stopped everything.

I'm ok, just severely pissed off. Have a swollen eye, and a sore jaw. I'm sure he's got blue ***** the hard way.

This is why I hate people who can't mind thier own buisness, usually of a different race.

All I can say is he's lucky those 2 guys came out. I woulda smashed his head right through the grill and radiator of his g/f's brand new car.

Update on the assaliant. My girl's mom was leaving Riverside where she works, and just happened to notice a dark Nissan Sentra in the parking lot with no front liscence plate. She drove around and there was the tag number I told her last night. She called the police and waited till I got there. No word yet, but I think they caught the bastard. I hope he was there because his ********* exploded after I kicked them.

I hope it's him too. Hopefully he's sterile now and won't be able to reproduce any more idiots. We've got too many in the world already.
