Got a ticket in OH help

ok it was on i-90 for 73 in a 50, now i had just moved here less than a week before from ny and still have a ny licence, plates, tags ect. it was my first oving violation and being not familiar with the area i thought it was still 65.

my first question is will the points go on my licence being that it is out of state?

now i guess its 50 because its a construction zone but it was on a sat. so i dont know if it still applies or not so the ticket was doubled to like 325

second question is how do i go about getting out of this and do i even have a chance?

what part of 90 where you on?!??

from PA to the 271 junctions its basically 65. then from here to cleveland on down its 60. where were you? it might be a construction zone speed limit.

as guilty as you are, just plead not quilty! I'm not sure on the points but i doubt it since you have a ny license...you will end up paying a fine but they will plead you out to a lesser charge. The one thing i'm 100% on is DO NOT PAY OR PLEA GUILTY TO THE ORIGINAL CHARGE!!!!
I wouldnt worry about it too much if i were you, out of state tickets dont count on your lic. but hope it all goes away before you get an OH lic. (loophole? lol)
Good luck

good luck with that ticket. i work right off 90 and warren and the cops sit there all the time. there were like 3 or 4 deaths in that area since that construction started. they are ruthless. all i can say is go with the story of "im new here".

good luck and go slow on 90 in that area

Sorry to hear about your ticket.

When I moved to Cincy OH, I got a ticket a month before. To avoid points, I enrolled in a driver's ed class. It lasted 8 hours on July 4th weekend (when I attended) with bunch of alcoholics and retards who like to brag about how many times they attend this class. It was very entertaining.. Just remember that in OH, you much honk when you pass someone!

even if you have a ny licence, points will still be added to your driving record, but if you take a driving class the point want be added to your record if you pass,

gl and i hope the class works, i hate getting tickets but i can go the speed limit and they will still get me
