Do you think you could do me a crazy solid and bring some of that coolant hose you were talking about? I've been having trouble finding local replacement and I'd just like some assurance that my car isn't going to die...lol.
I won't be making it. Car isn't done and I didn't get as much done around the house today as I had planned and I won't be around next weekend (double autocross weekend).
hopefully next time.
hopefully next time.
well, after trying to look for them around my house...i realized all my hoses & extra belts are in my other rx7 @ speed1...
Yup....sorry to have missed it too. Long night Saturday turned into not getting home until Sunday evening.
Also, there's no reason there can't be more of these drives...maybe smaller shorter drives every other month? Just a thought for Rocky - the entertainment coordinator.

i was prolly 70% of the time behind you. badass car dude. that road leading into the park is awesome! thank god their were no bikers!
Hey everybody, thanks again for showing up. I hope everyone had a good time and that you are all looking forward to the next one. Thanks again for everyone being safe and sane, it always makes for a better meet.
Short recap: About half of us showed early for breakfast. Once that was done, we met up and chatted about cars out in the parking lot while waiting for the rest. The parking lot was a bit full this year so we couldn't line up the cars like we did in the past. I think it was due to us leaving at 10 instead of 9 like before. Also, Rt. 29 had more traffic then we are used to (probably for the same reason) but, we were able to keep close together and the roads opened up once we got to 211. The run up the hill was a little more sedate this year as planned, but was still fun. There was also still some sand/salt left on the road from the snow two weeks ago.
On skyline drive it was the usual, speed limit way too slow to have any fun at all. We did stop at some of the usual lookouts, and the bathroom stop was closed as always (need to figure a solution for this). After leaving the park we stopped at Two Fat Butchers and had some grub. They didn't have their sweet BBQ cooker out in the parking lot this year but it was still pretty decent. Afterwards was a quick jaunt back to Lost Rhino and good beer was had by all.
I think this year went pretty well, if you have any suggestions about tweaks to the schedule let me know. I am always looking for ways to improve the route.
Regarding pictures: links to outside accounts are great. Please do so so that we can all surf them and see all of the photos you took. Throw up some of your favorites in a post too if you like. Attached are the only two I took.
Colt: Here is the thread I mentioned about the KPH/MPH cluster mod:

Matt: This is the thread I mentioned to you about the guy building the 4-rotor Volvo who is basically designing/fabricating his whole car. Very cool. :

Duc: Keep tuned to the DC area thread. I may plan some other smaller cruises/get-togethers during the summer, but my weekends fill up fast with events/obligations/vacations so I don'thave as much time. But, as I always say, the best way to have an event is to schedule/host one yourself. If you plan it, they will come

Ok boys and girls, here are the photos from last weekend. They're in my friend, Carl's photostream on flickr, so just disregard anything you're not interested I guess. Let me know if you're having any bandwidth problems.
