I know right? My Mom is a car/rx7 nut!! She's helped me with every part of my rx7 build and plans on racing it during our HPDE's

 

Updated list with my pops name, so far he is game as a co-pilot. On the bad side, I might have to bail early due to wife making evening plans that does not include the gross polluter RX-7 of mine

 

I don't care if I'm slow....if the car starts and drives, it counts as a win for me

 

I would love to do this but I work Saturdays. Also my rx7s aren't up to par rite now so I'd go in the e36. But if the date changes to Sunday I'll be there!

I don't think so, I tend to not take the 7 very far outside of Lynchburg since it still isn't potty trained.

 

Bought another fc to build and take back with me to colorado, will be nice to finally hang out with some more rx7's before i leave... havent been out since CiCi's

Yea, I built the motor a long time ago though. If that's all I was doing it would have been on the rd a year ago It's all the custom fab work I'm doing that's taking time. I have a build thread in the other forum 'rotary car build up' section if you're interested in the details.

Might not make it. Turbo is not spinning as of last night. Gonna pull it this weekend and see if I can figure out what happened and why.

stock S4 pretty much. has a hybrid compressor wheel in the factory housing

Is anyone going to Maryland International Raceway this weekend its Import Vs Domestic this weekend Friday - Monday and Car Show as well!! Going to be fun!

 

It is still a couple days too far to be accurate, but all saturday weather forecasts in the Sperryville-Luray-Front Royal triangle are showing partly cloudy, mid 50's with no rain.

Replacement turbo will be here tomorrow thanks to rx7 SE! Hoping the shaft play is minimal so I can toss it in and bring the car down.

 

My status is now "doubtful" Might have some house stuff to do.

If I do come, be prepared to provide a jump A little rundown of what's happening: I drove it around for about an hour, all electronics were working fine. Parked it, then 2 minutes later the battery was essentially dead. Jumped it, everything seemed fine, drove it again for about an hour, went to start it right after shuting it off.....dead. Something is causing my battery not to charge.

 

Or just need a new battery, take it to an auto parts store to get it checked. They will test it for free.

I can bring jumpers anyway though.

 

+1, either it's a weak battery or alternator. Any auto parts store will check your system for you for free

HAHA, this reminds me a bit of when Wes was rebuilding his engine and we put it back in the car and got it to turn over the day before the cruise a year or so ago. Nothing like a cruise to put some break in miles on a motor. Good luck, you can get it done.

Yep it is final: THE MAP. If you are going to meet us somewhere along the way try to get a number off of someone who has a passenger so that you can coordinate it. I prefer not to take calls while I am driving.
