Kerosene

Has anyone experimented with it? I saw a video from the 80's that said Mazda raced the Periport IMSA cars with a 50/50 Gasoline kerosene blend. Aparently Kerosene has the capability to make more power than gasoline, but has a very low octane rating. But, because of the low liklyhood of NA rotaries to detonat, they make a prime canidate for kerosene. I was wondering if anyone has tried it out and if so what results were. Maybe this could help get me over the 200whp hump.

I like the idea of a heavy fuel/multifuel rotary. Like using biodiesel mixed with gasoline or straight-up. If'n it burns, dump it in the tank...

I know from experience that kerosene by itself has very poor ignitability in an IC engine. When kerosene was cheaper than gasoline it was about twice a year that we'd get someone who filled at the wrong tank by mistake.

That is good ****. I'm sure emissions would be horrible in a street version. But still +1 to the builders.

Military application... the idea is an engine that can be rapidly deployed but is still suitable for a UAV.

Back in my day, we called UAVs "H-Ks". John taught us ways to dust them.
