Hey Eric, been too long man!

Eric - the guy who took over the shop since Steve left - is working on my FD right now. I'd like to think, but don't have much confidence, that it'll be running by dyno time. Steve never touched it, and John took the money I gave him and just spread my parts around ... so it's basically in the same state it's been for years. But somehow if it IS running I'll be at the dyno day. I wish I could commit to it, but it's been nothing but let-downs for the last decade as far as my 7's are concerned.

On a side note, if somebody wants to work on the car I'd happily pay a good mechanics rate. I haven't had the time to work on it for years now, and have been offering everybody $$$ to work on it ... but nobody wants my money it seems???

Basic stuff ... fit up the fuel system, wiring for dual pump setup, wire in battery reloaction, hook up the rest of the harness, dual oil cooler setup needs finished install. There's a fair amount of stuff that needs done, nothing hard just time consuming. Eric at the shop is going to make the IC tubing and downpipe, and some custom ducting.

I know I'm lame for not doing it myself, but that's life ... other stuff comes up and takes priority.

Well I am not in need of any tuning but wouldn't mind looking on and meeting some of the local folks. And it does appear that my schedule is free that weekend. Is there any particular time that more of you will be at the shop during those 2 days; or is it going to be a 48 hour party?

Good to know. I just found out I'll be manning a booth at the European Car Show on Sunday, so I will try to keep the Saturday open.

A few months ago, I was at Burketts shop checking out your rides. It looked like you had exactly what I needed...... door panels, headliner, dash etc. etc. etc.

HA! I've reluctantly deceided that many of those will be going to the crusher after being totally stripped. I may have copies of what you want in better shape too though.

The condition won't matter too much since it will all most likely be re-upholstered anyhow. I can talk to you the weekend of our get together if you want.

Everyone needs to make a checklist before Steve Kan arrives. This is what he said in an earlier post.

"Here're some items to inspect/replace before the dyno. New plugs (less than 1k miiles), new fuel filter (less than 5k miles), inspect spark plug wires, oil change, full tank of whatever gas you normally run, inspect tires (no nails or anything that can fly out during the dyno), inspect coolant fluid (change if necessary), clean air filter, put all the mods in that you plan to run before coming to the dyno (I don't think there'll be enough time to install them on the same day)."

If you want to be added to the list, please let me know asap.
